Rapid Led Onyx Bloom!

Well I finally bought a led light today and after looking at over 20 different led light companies I decided to purchase the Rapid Led Onyx Bloom. What made me decide to go with them was the high quality parts used in their system. Plus they are located in California which will make it a lot easier if anything ever happens to it.

I did get it for way below retail price so I'm pretty stoked about that! I do see on their website that the light can handle a 3x3 and will replace a 600 watt hps. I know from my growing experience that might not be 100% true. I think u will probably need at least 2 of these Onyx Bloom to perform a decent canopy.

I will be keeping everyone updated when it arrives. I might even do a unboxing video (don't hold me to this lol)
I will for sure post many pictures of it in action and my personal opinions when putting it to the test in flower.

Right now I have a 3x3 tent in week 3 of flower with a 600watt hps going. Once that is done I will start a grow with the new Rapid Led Onyx Bloom. One thing I will change is instead of using the 3x3 I want to use my 2x2 tent. I think a single light will do better in a 2x2 tent.

If u are interested in checking them out:

I have one of the originals and preferred it with the lenses off. I wonder how much of a performance bump they got with the XM-L2's.
They've always had xml2 . As Mike from rapidled stated the lens spread the light. Watt for watt I'd put an onyx up against your cobs. It's basically the same difference.

Thought they updated them almost a year ago,I'll have to go back and look at my thread.

You may be thinking about the reef onyxs. Not sure what diodes they used in those but the horticulture models were xml2 from day one.

I don't think so , they came out with all xml2 as far as I know.
Coming back to me now.,yea XM-L2's from the start. Mike told me about a year ago they were testing a upgrade for the light, guess they didn't do it. Can't remember the exact LED but it was basically a XM-L3 but they called it something else.

They've come out with a new one called the indus with xp-l and xp-e with some reds.

I would love to run a cob but the price on them right now are to pricey and I am not comfortable doing a DIY. The last thing i need is for my house to burn down for my fuck up lol.
Ima use the led mostly for breeding and I still have my 600 watt hps to use when I need for production.

Bonjour
Do you know how to drill a hole?
Do you know how to put butter everywhere on the bread?
Do you know how to plug wire together?
Are you able to copy things?
If it is yes...than you could diy...with the help people's going to provide you here it will be child game...no soldering...just drilling with electric screwdriver (good speed!)
My cxb should last 50000h (maybe 100000h @23w!)so 10 year without big efficiency loss...how long since you have to change your bulb(1/1.5year) reflector (3year) ballast (who know!? 3/5/7year?) When I calculate...cob don't look so expensive at least...if you plan to grow for a long time!
Buying cxb 3590 is the best thing I ever done for my growbox!!!
With it gpw is at everyone hands (30+70 days grow...cause with 2month+ vegg it is easier to get to gpw!)
Have a great day ★
