I know this post is a couple of months old,but to throw my 2 sense in.. I live in New England and I collect rain water for my girls and I get good results with it...it seems as soon as i start giving it rain water they seem to take off... When I water with nutes I use Tap Water that has sat out for 2 Days.My Feeding schedule goes as follows.. I feed nutes, water, water, feed nutes.....when i water in between i use the rain water...works for me....i noticed my buds getting way thicker when i started doing this method...Rain water rocks...I use it as foilage spray too with liquid seaweed couple of drops in with the rainwater....i DO THIS DURING VEG AND BEGINNING OF FLOWER after about 25-30 days into flowering i stop because i don't want my buds to get moldy...everyone has there own style..you have to see what works for you in the enviorment you have your plants in,the strain, all must be considered in how your plant will react to certain things...

Rain water. Its all I use.

About letting air escape. I think you want the water to be airrated, at least I airrate mine...

i think he was saying that you let TAP water sit out a day or two uncovered to let the chlorene and other shit get out of the water
you can allways, and most liky will add oxygen later ( if useing water in hydro system) via bubbler or gaps in the water flow like in a flood and drain system
rain water wood not have to sit out it does not contain "shit"
but if you did let it sit no harm will be done
