Qwiso powder

so I was showin my buddy how to extract with 99% ISO the same way I do at his house with new materials and his bud . I did everything the same as I always do but the end product looked like this I have done ISO extracts quite a bit over the last 7 or 8 months but never got this any help thanx

Lmao I told him it was normal as well but I have never gotten that powder substance before next run was more consistent of what I'm use to I don't make shatter to much just when requested I'm more use to this

The pouder is from scraping it up with the razor blade all shatter does that but ive never seen iso shatter and would say thats probably the best iso ive ever seen id like to know how you made iso shatter

Hahaha . Like I said I'm not use to the powder I did another run and got what I'm use to in the second pic ..

If the powder is normal how do you dab it or do you reheat to reform it . Or sprinkle it on a bowl?? Thanx for the reply

I agree with Quiso King, it looks normal. The powdery stuff I would expect if I let it dry for an extra 24 hours. I spent many batches figuring out how to get it to the shatter point. One is time, the second is having no more than 3-4 grams of wax in the ISO per glass pan. If there is more, the thickness of the wax inhibits the ISO from outgassing and it takes much longer to get to the shatter point. I now like to harvest it at the gooey state, much more flavor from the lighter terpines that leave to make shatter. The dry powder can be warmed and stuck together into one mass, or sprinkled as is on a bowl or into a joint.

Yea I ran another batch I let dry to Lon before scrape

Its normal. id say its somewhat common on the 1st wash. my guess is youve gotten the pure extraction of thc with very minimal other plant matters/waxes/oils. The wax you are used to making has consistency due to absorbing other plant waxes during extraction, which is fine. Ive gotten the powder a few times while doing iso washes and i even used 91%. you have 99 so youll have no water to really worry about mixing in the oil while drying.

as said ive gotten the powder a few times. just put it all on parch paper and work it in m fingers and itll mold together to a nice piece. usually shatters out if i add some heat from skillet quick to melt it down then let it cool over night.

Normal. You just have to have a "decent" wash and evap/purge the alcohol completely. If it's gooey there is still alcohol and/or you used heat and/or too many contaminants were in solution. Just ambient with a breeze is fine for purge too. Also easier to obtain with thin film like layer of alcohol in the dish.

ive air dried for 24-48hrs and doing heat evap and pretty much never get a powder. Only time ive gotten powder was on a super good high keif strain and it was the first wash. Always get a nice golden layer on the bottom that once its cool its pliable/shatter sometimes. finger warmth makes enough to work with. But i just use all of mine to convert to thc ejuice so ending consistency doesnt really matter to me as its being mixed and dissolved in my purpose.
