Questions about growing poppies... please help!

New to the site here but so far I love what I see. So I am growing some Persian White poppies and had a couple questions.

1. I am using the Jiffy plant starter kits and I already see the seeds germinating, how long do I leave them enclosed in the Jiffy container for? When do I start giving them light and watering them again? I know at this stage they are very fragile so I don't want to hurt the little guys.

2. When should I start thinning the plants?

4. When do I transplant them outdoors?

5. Anyone have any tips on good watering techniques or good fertilizer to use?

6. After the poppy flowers and the flowers fall off I should not water it anymore right? I wait 2 weeks and the pod will grow. After those two weeks how do I go about drying out the poppies for... uh.... decoration? :-o... If I cut the pod off will it grow back in a matter of a few weeks? do they grow back?

cant answer all your specifics, but i'm growing some for the first time this year.... i started mine outdoors directly in the beds.... they're suprisingly hardy and dont need water too often

I am growing the hens and chicken variety. They are planted in FF garden soil. I put 10 or so seeds on top of the soil in early April. They have really taken off and I have some pretty big leaves.
Read online about how to harvest the opium. You lightly score the sides of each flower and wait for the opium to seep out. It dries on the flower and you scrape it off the next day. They said that you can harvest each poppie blossom 3 times
here is an awesome article
