This is my first attempt for some indoor and I was wondering what type of lights to use for vegatative and flowering? Any suggestions on what type and where to find these types of lights would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

metal halide for veg, and HPS for flowering (high pressured sodium) this is about the best combination you can get. 400w if you can afford the electricity bill

Well if you are talking HID (high intesity) MH (metal halide) emits more blue light of the spectrum which is better for vegetative whereas HPS (high pressure sodium) emits more red light of the spectrum which is better for budding/flowering.

A combination is a good option but more expensive.

Some growers prefer to use MH in a vege room separtiley and HPS for a budding room.

Also, you can purchase universal ballasts which accept HPS and MH so you can switch lights rather than using 2 at a time.
