Question for homebrewer about dyna gro

I am new to this site and to growing, so please forgive my ignorance. I have read through the majority of your side by side tests which is what made me switch from GH to dyna gro. I ordered the grow, bloom, mag and protekt. I have not received the bloom or mag yet and will get that next week sometime, however I can not wait another week to switch to 12/12 because I'm afraid that my plants will out grow my grow space. My question is, for a 5 gallon bubbleponics system (I use only 3 gallons in each bucket), how much of each would be a safe starting point? I also have the GH 3 part system still which includes the floragro, florabloom, floramicro, and I also have the liquid koolbloom. Since I do not have the dyna gro bloom and mag, can I substitute one of the GH products? If so, how much of each? I use RO water and have used GH calimagic (which I still have). Any help is really appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You can use grow and protekt for the entire grow/bloom cycle if you'd like but I highly recommend using bloom for flowering when you get it.

I feed at a little over 1.0 EC in flower so something like 3-4mls/gallon of protekt is a good start and make up the rest of your EC with 'grow'. Your plants need a decent amount of nitrogen during the first few weeks of flowering anyways so the fact that you don't have your bloom nutes is no biggie.

I don't think you can PM until you have more posts.

Thank you for your information in the past! Things have gone smoothly. I do have a new question. I now have the dyna gro bloom and magpro and would like to know what would be a good starting point for all three including the protekt. I also picked up some florablend and would like to add that in to the mix as well at 5 ml per gallon. Thoughts? Much appreciated.

Like I said above, I feed at a little over 1.0 EC in flower. The vast majority of that is going to be base nutrients (I use grow and bloom in a 1:4 ratio in flower). You can keep your protekt dose the same as I posted above only a touch of magpro is needed; 1-2mls gallon.

I use an HM Aqua Pro (or did until I switched to a Hannah Primo 4 and EC) and it's readings correlated with the middle column for comparison. This for the fellow working with PPM while he asked homebrewer for advice and hb is in the UK. Too bad the US doesn't go totally metric like we were supposed to over 50 years ago.

I ALWAYS supp calmag. They are the 2 toughest nutrients to deliver in a hydro setup consistently. PH limited.
Thanks,PPM of RO water is 10 then i add Pro-Tek then it at 50 ppm then i add the Grow 7-9-5 total ppm is 190 on .5 scale. Then i add ph down so ph goes from 6.1 to 5.8.My 2 plants are yellow at the bottom? mag def?

HomeBrewer do you use that 1-4 ratio starting from week 1 of flowering, or do you maintain your veg formula for the first week or two?

I use that formula when I enter flowering and the goal is to use enough 'grow' to keep 'em green.
Hi Homebrewer. I'm growing in coco currently using GH Flora series. But, I'm really considering getting DynaGro for my next grow.

You mentioned in another post that the best NPK levels (to your knowledge) were 3-1-2 veg and 1-3-2 bloom. When I looked at DynaGro Grow formula their PK levels seem way too high. They offer Foliage Pro 9-3-6 which seems ideal and also Hi-N-Pro 10-5-5 which also sounds better for veg.

Would you share your dynagro nutrient schedule with me? And explain how you achieve the 3-1-2 in veg? Thank you !

Their foliage pro (9-3-6) in coco from start to finish would be an excellent choice.
