Question concerning Cloning from a Flowering Plant

Lets say i got a plant thats 4 weeks into flowering, or 8 weeks ( sativa ) in flowering

is it possible that i cut a branch off, take the nugs off , trim it nice so only leafs at top , then put it into rooting hormones then plant it ? will this work ? from a flowering mother?

8 Weeks is really pushing success IMHO. I have cloned at 6 weeks with success, it just takes a long time, if I remember I was looking at 3 weeks to show the first roots. Plus another week before I had growth of the plant and then the sprouting mess which ensued. It is fun doing somethings like this to see what can be done and how to do it. I would suggest a sturdy lower branch with a stem that is nothard but very stiff, this will help keep it from rotting in the rockwool since it could be a long wait.
