Question about t-5 light

I JUST GOT A T-5 LIGHT 2FT LONG WITH 6 BULBS. I CURRENTLY HAVE IT OVER MY SPROUTS THAT ARE only a few days old. my question is how long should i keep my plants under this t-5 light? can i keep it over them all throughout the veg stage? i have a 600 watt metal halid bulb and hood should i switch to this at some point, if so when?


for flowering i will be using a 600watt hps bulbs

anybody? should i only use the t-5 for a few weeks then switch to the metal halid bulb or can i use throughtout the veg stage?

I would leave them under the t5's till they at least have a couple of sets of true leaves.then bang them under the 600 wattmh i would put them in the room for a harf hour then an hour then leave them but let them get a little older first or you may risk loseing them.

thanks for the reply what do you mean put them in for a half hour then an hour
