Hello everyone!

After flushing my pots with 5.8 ph water the runnof keep coming up ph 6.9

Im using 35% perlite 75% sunshine mix.

Any of you notice this in your grow or is just me?

Im using RO water with 70ppm of dyna grow and dyna gro protekt to start my seedlings

I did read about dolomite lime to keep the ph balanced but I cant find it in my city and it takes up to 12 days to arrive if I buy in the internet. I just germinated the seeds and Im waiting to plant them today.

Any suggestions?

I've used Sunshine for several grows and stopped testing runoff. It always seem to come off about 6.9-7.2 and plants looked healthy.

I used to water at 5.8 but now go 6.2 and I don't worry about runoff pH. So long as you're feeding correctly (just enough rather than too much), and you're producing good runoff each time, don't worry about runoff pH.

just use the medium and stop being anal about stuff until there's a problem to address. silly rabbit
Yeah, I wasnt paranoid at all, just wanted to make sure with experienced growers. But you are right, the trick is always dont care too much. Lot of people commit mistakes by overcaring theirs plants!

Thanks for your reply

No problem, good choice on medium, as long as you allow some nice runoff and pH everything going in, it'll take care of the rest. There's a lot of organic in it so a slightly higher pH (6.2) seems to work very well :)
