Question about seeds

I have been germinating seeds in wet paper towels for the past 3 days. And all have a tap root appearing but it is only like 1mm long. Is this a normal size for 3 days? or is there a problem?

Also, when shall i plant them?

Thanks

right now, have the taproot facing down. theyve germinated and cracked, now its time to move on to the putting them in the soil and sprouting.

I shall plant them right away. Its dark now, but shall i plant them now and keep them under a cfl until tomorrow when i put them outside?

nah, they will be fine. they dont need light quite yet, not till they pop from the soil. make sure you dont fry em by putting them in too much direct sunlight, they are kinda sensitive about it when they are seedlings.

im putting them under a shade cloth tent when they sprout lets about 60% of light in. So until they sprout shall i just keep them in a darm warm place?

Thanks for the help mate

You can put them under your cfl for warmth and when they break soil they can absorb light. After 3-4(above ground with true leaves) days under a cfl, you should be good to put it outside.
