If one was to harvest 6 or more plants they are going to have a lot more than 2.5 oz's. Would they be in violation as soon as the plants are chopped and harvested?

How does that work?

Not sure if you are a patient or caregiver, but you should set up a perputual grow. You can stay under the plant limit as well as the weight limit. If you have extra, you could always join a "collective".

The law states you are only allowed to have 2.5 ounces medication on you. Never really states anything about harvesting. As far as your excess goes, ayenull is correct. You can "donate" it to a collective or some type of patient to patient business. Basically a "compassion" club. PM me if you need more details

Actually the law states you are allowed 2.5 oz or enough to ensure an uninterrupted supply of medication. If you only harvested every 4 months you would require to have a pound to ensure an uninterrupted supply until your next harvest. Also a criminal defense lawyer I spoke with stated that the limits in the law are only there to set a reasonable level. anything below that limit automatically provide protection in the state. Anything over those numbers requires a court case to prove medical necessity.

2. THE QUALIFYING PATIENT AND THE QUALIFYING PATIENT'S DESIGNATED CAREGIVER, IF ANY, WERE COLLECTIVELY IN POSSESSION OF A QUANTITY OF MARIJUANA THAT WAS NOT MORE THAN WAS REASONABLY NECESSARY TO ENSURE THE UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY OF MARIJUANA FOR THE PURPOSE OF TREATING OR ALLEVIATING THE QUALIFYING PATIENT'S DEBILITATING MEDICAL CONDITION OR SYMPTOMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE QUALIFYING PATIENT'S DEBILITATING MEDICAL CONDITION.

However you should never be carrying more than 2.5oz with you at any one time, unless you are a caregiver and delivering to your patients.

i have been told that it was 2.5 ounces of USEABLE product... if it is still hanging from the stems and not jarred i believe they think of it as unusable... we are talking about the fuckin government though, so who knows, they do what they want

The law is certainy fuzzy, but according to the spirit of the law there is nothing wrong with havesting 12 or less plants and storing the excess at your home to guarantee an "uninterupted" supply of medicine.
