Quad Cross

Was thinking of combining all my genentics into one seedline for genetic variety and sustainability . So 2 F1 crosses crossed together. (begining with 4 totally different strains and creating 1. I would begin by choosing my favorite phenos of 4 strains, then create 2 seperate crosses . After growing out those F1s of 2 different types of seeds I would choose my best best pheno of each and then cross them creating a 4 way cross. My goal is to find a totally new unique phenotype .

I read about a quadcross recently in an old breeding thread from years back
What do you guys think of the idea?

That could be fun but if your serious about making a polyhybrid you should get at least dome badic breeding experience or grow out a few hundred of your 2 initial strains before moving ahead otherwise youll have no idea what yout looking for.

Bf is right on, once you make your initial cross and cross back you are going to have many different phenos express themselves, which one is best? The more you add the harder it will be to find the pheno you are actually looking and you might pass up the one true jewel that you would want. I breed on a small scale and it is wonderful but you are looking at years of work or pleasure before you can find and stablize your strain. Sure is fun though.

also I recommend Marijuana Botany an Advanced STudy by Robert Clarke you can get this online for free a great read and great reference material for breeding and general knowledge
