Quaaludes

Anyway, nothing lost, it is not a road I recommend to anybody. It took years and many attempts to finaly kick it.

I go hang with a relatively new friend who is in his early 60's. We talked about qualudes today and he had a dreamy far off look in his eye when he talked about how easy it was back then to get a scrip for rohers. He also told me about a period in his life when he was getting 10,000 pieces of window pane at a time, he claims that each had about 1,000 mikes and were scored for 4 way. They came in individual vials where a set of the vials were packed in a finished wooden box. He says he got them for about 50 cents each and sold them for two dollars each. Now he tends not to be a bullshitter except for the typical embelishments that come with a few beers and good cigars - I'm the one that makes the caught fish three inches longer and the one that got away 5 lbs heavier.

Imagine 10,000 doses of pure elegantly packaged - it must have eminated energy right through the boxes.

i'm not old enough to know about luudes, however about 10 years ago friends came across a bunch of em. stamped Lemmon 714. I had always speculated that they were just counterfiet pills made in a clandestine lab like x, or acid. But the first batch i tried were phenomenal. Almost exactly you experienced people described it. A few times after that with a diffrent batch they had a cold medicine type effect to them and were seriously a fucking disappointment. ..oooohhhh ..i think i actually scored another few at a Phish show years later.

I've wondered .... where the fuck did they get the Lemmon 714 from. Does anyone else have recent experiences with these "qualuudes" in the U.S.
btw ...the fuckers fetched for 20 bucks a pill. fucking cunts.

Quaaludes seem like a fabled drug that almost doesn't exist but does somewhere.

Roher commissioned and or sold the patent to Lemon - they were legitimate.

It's Lemmon, actually. Lemmon was acquired by the big Israeli pharmaceutical firm, Teva, in the 80's.

I smoked them for a few years... very bad for you, my friends and i were all skinny as fuck, mainly cause we spend all our money on it, and my stomach is still fucked up till this day.

'Ludes' and 4-way windowpane ...... I used to LOVE them back in the 70's. I'm a bit pissed though. I'm still waiting for the acid flashbacks I was promised back then.

One time a couple friends of mine did some 4-way. We cut them in half, making two doses each, and downed them. I can't remember how much time passed, but it was a good while and we didn't feel anything. It was way longer than any other time we took it and felt it coming on. We had enough more for us all to to one more hit, so we did. Of course in about ten minutes after taking the second (single dose) the first (double dose) started to kick in .... so I knew we were all in for a heck of a ride.

We had just graduated high school and we went camping at Warren Dunes in Michigan to party/celebrate.

We left the campsite and climbed to the top of the tallest dune and lay there in the sun and watched a bi-plane doing stunts overhead. That was amazing. When we went back to the campsite we were in the mood for a little herb to smooth things out a bit and to listen to some music. One of my friends had a kick-ass stereo and camping or not, we brought it. We cranked up some Black Sabbath and had a very enjoyable time. When it got dark and we started a campfire we had even more fun. We'd put a stick into the fire, get the end burning and then wave it around. The flame would go out but the glowing end left trails like mad. You could just about write your whole name in trails.

I would really like to be able to relive that extended weekend.

Its disgusting and the best feeling in the wolrd combined. Also very usefull for comming down when you are wired on crack or amphitamines.
