PVC Noob??

ok. hear me out. i am planning on building a recirculating dwc and i dont know how to connect the pvc pipe to the container. i have never worked with pvc
before or any other kind of plumbing. anybody think they can help??

You need to cut holes in the containers and insert things called "Grommets." Look them up online and you'll see. Any hardware store will have them. They are measured by their inside diameter which is usually sized to match the outside diameter of your PVC.

A particularly effective grommet is tradenamed Uniseal. Not cheap, but good. cn

they are called uniseals, you can get them online in various sizes from aquarium supply co. I just bought some from aquaticseco.com, they come in all different sizes.

Yes uniseals will work wonders but they are bit expensive so bend over.

I buy my uniseals from bulkreefsupply.com, 2" for $3.60 when you buy 5 or more.
When connecting with pvc in a RDWC for flower I wouldn't go under 2"

That's a bit better I was seeing like 5-6 dollars each.
