Purple Widow Auto/Kind Soil grow

I germed two seeds(only keeping one) about 10 days ago. Both sprouted 2/15/18. Im growing in a 18×24x64" grow box i made and running one 600w king plus led light (120 tru watts) and two 5500k 45w cfls. For ventilation i have a 200cfm duct fan and a 6" oscillaing fan as well as some usb cpu fans. I have the seedlings in coco coir pots and plan to directly plant one in a 4gal fabric pot containing 70% FFOF 30% kind soil, when its mature enough to transplant? not sure when i should but eventually or whenever need be. So far just been spray bottle watering until today when i gave them about 100ml or so of purified water til slight run off, they were feeling rather light and soil was dry up to first knuckle. I keep temp on avg right now 70-80f and RH from 40-55% and doing 18/6 light cycle. How do they look? Do yall see anything out of the ordinary or anything i should be doing different? Fairly new to this so i want everything to go as smooth as possible. Anything helps ☺ .. day# 6 seedlings

You might want to think about putting those in there final pot as soon as you can. The story with auto flowers is that you want to get as much root development as fast as possible since they trigger flower on there own. Transplant shock could stunt some growth if you let them fill those smaller pots.

Well i was just thinking of transplanting the seedling & pot altogether, bc its biodegradable and apperently the roots grow through it when they exceed the area of the coco coir pot. Probably will do it soon, i have the 4 gal pot ready to go.

I would recommend against planting in the coco pots. The roots aren't capable of really penetrating the pots. Not as well as if you and them in just soil.

How's she looking guys? Her new growth has got me exicted for whats next but being a noob I have no idea lol i definelty wanna do some sort of training w/ her asap to keep her at least a good 2-3ft.

Still just watering w/ a spray bottle, do yall think she's ready for some heavy watering? Some of the leaf tips curl up very slightly nothing major. She does this thing where it almost seems like the leaves open up and reach for the sky every so often and go back down after awhile. Im thinking its a good thing. She's chugging along great ☺

Heavy watering, no. At this stage in its life less is more. It looks to be about right on track for day 14 from seed, it'll shoot up soon enough, just don't overfeed or over water. I would just give it RO water with some cal mag and that's it until it has at least 4 or so nodes or it asks to be fed

Good deal Sam, I'll keep up the spraying then. I probably won't use RO water this grow, just going with the tap and ph'n down w/ citric acid to 6.5 and as far as feeding nutes, kind soil is suppose to be a water only system no nutes needed. I've read some post where people have needed to add cal mag so forsure getting some soon. Also probably recharge for later on.

Yeah nearly every plant I've grown seems to be starving for cal mag, good stuff to stock up on. I have to use something other than tap water here in Vegas, it comes out of the tap at about 700ppm of pure crap lol. If your tap water is good though then for sure use it, I hate making water runs to the store lol

Haven't really looked into ppm's at all. fairly new to most concepts, ima just keep it simple for my first grow. I started off w/ bottled water but here in texas it comes out at 7.5 thru the tap so i might as well save some bucks lol i just needa find a good guide on some LST

Ppms (parts per million) of nutrients are very important. If you overfeed your plant, you'll burn it and if you feed like the bottle says to feed, chances are you'll burn it. The water here is very hard, lots of minerals and what not, so the ppm is already high with stuff I don't want...but I would recommend looking into feeding based off ppm and plant size/vigor. I got a meter that reads temp, ph, and ppm for 60 bucks. Worth it to me.

DAY#20 Update

Convinced myself into FIMing (I know fimming & topping autos is discouraged but whatever) and LST'ing my grow..day 17 i fimmed and LST'd last night. Also i think she finally showed her sex and im thinking we have a female. found a slight yellow tip on one of lower set of fan leaves. Been feeding calmag for last two days see if it helps.

DAY#27 started to finally water the whole pot. There's still some yellowing on the oldest growth at the bottom but new growth is starting to come in real nice. She's looks rsther small for her age, just real bushy.
I'm waiting on her to explode any day now lol about a 1/4 inch of stretch everyday over the past couple days. Being patient is a pain stopped feeding calmag, just water for now. As far as training, only tucked some leaves here in there for light penetration. Not sure if I should start defoliation or any lollipopping20180313_064403.jpg

Day#34 week 1 of flower im guessing? Here's some updated pics. Minimal stink so far, when I put my nose up to her. 8 main colas

DAY #61 from germ. Came down to the conclusion that this is her final week, choppin down friday or so. Took a sample and sun dried about a gram or two and boy oh boy does she hit wonderfully well. Added an autocob light for the last two weeks, gonna see how well it performs on my next grow..GSC from fastbuds and using OF w/ MEGACROP as my sole nutrients and some calmag20180410_223335.jpg 20180416_082437.jpg 20180410_223302.jpg 20180409_205314.jpg
