purple urkle and gsc grow

I've never grown an auto and didn't really wanna toss em in with my photos so I'll go with the photo PE. How's that somango? I heard it gets some really nice fat colas and is a pretty heavy yielder. I wish I was able to make a space so I could clone and keep some of these strains going, I'm really liking the smell of this purple diesel I have going right now, it's really fruity atleast more than the diesels I've smelled.

The somango is fire. Still curing it but I am blazin it as it cures. Fruity inhale, but you really get that venom / widow flavor in undertones especially on the exhale.

To me, autos don't make a whole lot of sense indoors, unless you want to run lights for 18 hours. I like running the hps lamps on 12/12 and I veg under t-5s (18/6) which are far more energy-efficient.

Cloning is good, but if you can't carve out a separate place for them it becomes difficult to pull off.

I think I'm gonna have to look into that for future grows. I really like the buds that have a distinct flavor in the smoke. I was kinda thinking the same thing, I may try an auto outdoor this year but even than photos have never done me wrong so I don't see a sense in switching to something new. If I had a bigger place I could deff make some room for a mother but I'm in a two bedroom apartment and my girlfriend still wants the spare room semi usable so I got my one 4x4 tent and that's it but she said I can upgrade to a 4x8 so I'll have two trays instead of one. Better than one I guess lol.
Here's some pics from tonight. Day 39 of 12/12. They're finally getting some orangeish hairs and really getting rock hard

Those look fantastic!

You could always do 2 4x4 tents, veg/clone in one and keep your current table in perpetual 12/12. You would need an aero or bubble set up that could be transplanted to your tables when you are ready to flower. Veg under LED or T-5 and you don't have to worry about exhausting heat, you just need to make sure you push air around. Something to consider if you really want to clone and keep your better strains around for a while.

Thanks guys, they're really coming along. Today is day 43 and I think I'll be pulling right at the 8 week mark. I did think about doing that but than I'd have a smaller amount finishing every two or 3 weeks vs if I did two 4x4 trays I could have anywhere from 18-32 plants in flower and harvest every 8 weeks but it would be way bigger of a harvest. I gotta think on it and see which would be better. I'm hoping to get a pound and a half from these 12 plants, if I come close to that mark than I'm gonna get a 4x8 and just have it all be a flower tent and not do any cloning. That would give me roughly 3 pounds every 10-12 weeks cause of veg time before flower

Always do what's best for you, I would never tell you otherwise. It's all personal preference but it seems to me you could pull 4-6 plants down every 3 weeks for a 1-2 pound yield. But here is where my lack of experience with tables comes in...You would have to be able to have plants at different stages of the flowering cycle on the same table, and as you know, that means different nutritional needs. I don't know the solution to that and it's a problem I don't face with dwc and hempy buckets, so your thinking probably makes the most sense.

Ya that's the downside, they all have to get the same nutrient levels. I would have to do a bunch of 2'x4' little tables each having their own res to pull that off. I may try to talk my girl into letting me keep the 4x4 when I get the 4x8 than I could take cuts when I flip and keep them in veg for 8 weeks while my flowering plants are finishing than stick em in there and wouldn't have to wait for veg. That's the closest thing to a perpetual I could do with the flood tables.

You will get bigger yields because of the larger plants doing it that way for sure. If vertical space isn't an issue that's a very workable solution.

With my res being under my table it limits me a little, I believe I have 40-44" about for full plant height. I stick to indicas though or indica dom and I can still veg em for a month and have the plants barely hit 30" as you can see from all my pics of the purple diesel. I should of done a 6-8 week veg, next time.

After the 30" I meant to say as you can see it only fill 2/3 of the space roughly from tray to light. Little baked from the GSC of my last grow.

Hey, sorry it's been a while since I updated. I've been working crazy long hours at work and have barely had time for my plants. I'm in the process of harvesting and it's coming along pretty well, I don't think I'll yield as much as I wanted but it should be decent. The nugs are pretty dense and has a deep rich purple tint to it and some pinkish here and there. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Ya the color was really nice but I didn't get the yield I was hoping for. I'm trimming up the last little stuff than going to fill the tent back up until I can afford my bigger tent. I hate trimming tho lol.

Trimming is the fuckin worst. The only thing I hate about this hobby. It's a big reason I trim all the way before I dry them, even though they dry faster that way which affects taste and aroma.

That it is! I also wet trim, just seems easier to get all the little leaves and stems right when I chop em. It takes longer to dry when it's wet trimmed or chopped and hung? I should be filling the tent back up this weekend and buying my 4x8 within the next couple weeks.

It takes longer to dry when you don't trim until it dries. The slower the dry, generally the better taste and aroma from the bud. It's also much harder to trim dry product than wet.

With this batch I wet trimmed most and dry trimmed a little and the stuff I wet trimmed took quite a few more days to dry than the stuff I left to dry trim. I was kind of surprised by that. After a week or so jarred up with burping twice or so a day the aroma was very pungent but a little fruity and boy they were covered with trichomes. I just got some jilly bean clones so I'll see how these come out. They're 60/40 sativa/indica so I can't let them get too big but I deff wanna get some good sized plants. I went with 10 instead of 16 so they can be a little farther apart and I can veg em for a little while longer. Anyone grown jilly bean before?image.jpg
