This looks like some really good stuff. Visited their website and was pleased with what I seen. I will likely try this medium out. Thanks Chaos!
I can second royal gold products I'm using their tupur right out of the bag I'm on my second round with it & im trying megacrop in one of my tents the drylock seals concrete very good you made a good choice there hope you get things straightened around I have an isolated area in a separate building I put new clones in & spray prior to bringing into my grow area but if a clone is too young the spray can do damage spidermites can be a real bitch

In your opinion, what do you think is causing the roots to lockout?
cold floors, dry promix try one or 2 get some runoff,if they had solid rootmass when planted pull couple out c whats going on bet the roots r brown.whats the temp of floor they sitting on,with out being there iam guessing

don't want to mess ya up but if my plants looked like that I would flush with half dose of kelp, sounds like u put roots into dry promix then little water they not over watered, roots r locked out
The floors are actually warm, when you stick your finger down into thebdirt from the top or through the bottom drainage hole it is much warmer than room temperature. I have a heat blanket beneath the pots.

I have not checked on the girls since day before yesterday. Had a terrible stomach virus that had me kneeling over the toilet for 24 hours straight. So lets keep our fingers crossed and I will update soon.

I have been reading into nutrients a lot tonight and trying to pull the trigger on which nutrient line to run this grow. My last grow had superb results with Advanced Nutrients, kept it pretty simple. Sensi grow and bloom a & b, and maybe 4 or 5 additives, I don't really remember. Yield was great and so was quality.

Right now I have mostly been looking into AN, Canna, Emerald Harvest and possibly GH. But less likely GH. As I have used them in the past and Advanced really outshined them ime.

I know GH often gets wrote off pretty quick, but I have had great results with their FloraNova Bloom. I quit using it because it was too thick for drip system in hydro and eventually plugged my drip rings with the salts(old system). I used the bloom all the way through from start to finish since the N in it is a bit on the high side compared to most bloom feed. One of the few times Ive had a bad case of claw and N tox was the first time I used FloraNova Bloom. A little goes a long way with that stuff.

You know in my entire 15 or 16 years of growing I have never once owned a pH pen. I don't know if it was just this hillbilly trend that I have grown up living and used to or if I just simply never needed one. I am sure there was times I have screwed up pH here and there but honestly never had much problem at all with lockout or deficiencies.

I remember when I first found out about the pH perfect line from AN I was excited as hell to try it. Everyone was telling me and I was reading everywhere to only use them at half strength to 3/4 or I would burn my plants. Well at half strength I was having lots of pale and weak growth, problems that even resembled nutrient burn on some. I sent an email to advanced and told them what was going on and they told me to disregard everything I have read and if I own a pH pen to set it aside and to use their nutrients exactly as directed, full strength. So I did and man they really started booming. I had never had such beautiful solid green canopies throughout the tents and honestly I did have a yield increase beyond any other nutes I had previously used. No way would I run them outdoors because the investment would be insane. Outdoor I run either earth juice products, growmore, or jacks classic. But indoor I don't care to invest in good nutrients that are basically worry free.

The only thing I hate about advanced is that big ass price tag on the bottles. But I don't wanna turn my thread into an AN thread cause I have seen how that goes around the forums but speaking of very many years of experience I have not ran across a nutrient yet that come close to AN indoors.

Now.. For that update I passed out on last night haha..

The plants are looking much better. Starting to see the wilt slightly dissipate on some, nothing miraculously, but noticeable. Also some new growth beginning to crawl out from the tips of the plants! This is very good news to me. I thought they would be stalled for a while but really they are turning around quicker than I thought. Like I said it is not a 360 turn around yet but I could definitely tell they are looking healthier and that's better than no sign at all.

I then mixed up a half strength solution of Seaweed juice and gave them all a good misting and raised the lights about 8 to 10 inches higher and dimmed the lights to 50% on the t5s.

I decided not to water any though, because obviously time is working and I don't wanna disturb the progress they are making with any sudden changes. The pots were already feeling very much noticeably lighter so they will have a watering coming up soon and ill be able to moisten up the medium a bit more.

Also checked the bottoms of the leaves, seen the old webbing here and there from where the spider mites had started building and constructing their unsuccessful attempt at a starting a metro area in my laboratory... Nope. You little bastards, that is definitely a no no .. They were all just froze into place on those little microscopic webs and on the bottom sides of leaves just soaking in the dichlorvos gases. Ehh, I know. It sounds nasty and toxic. But ill be dammed if I'm shoveling out another grand on spider mite prevention after investing in a brand new grow op worrying if I missed one or two or three. These strips are cheap as hell and they work better than anything I have seen. Wish I had pulled the trigger on them long long ago.

When the plants make a little more progress than what they already have, I will throw up some new pics. I forgot to mix aspirin in the foiliar spray last night, so when they are due for a watering I will use it to water them in. I have used aspirin very many times in the past and if you want a cheap, simple but noticeably effective solution to combat any stress or just to see a growth spurt over night, give it a try. Just be careful on how much you mix per gallon and never spray on flowering plants in the last week of flower before harvest unless you wanna smoke it. Aspirin is some of the best tincture I have personally seen to kick a plant out of a mite or other insect infestation. Those mites make the plants immune system very weak, they excrete a toxin into the tissue and it pretty much just stunts and stalls the growth. Give them an aspirin solution spray, kick in that SAR system and watch them bust right out of that coma they are in.

Glad to hear you nipped the bug problem out quick and the girls are getting out of their tantrum.
Thanks my man...

By the way, even though I have not got the HID's in order yet, only the T5's and a simple fan to duct out, your system that you turned me on to is working out amazingly, controlling the environment perfectly. I had a good feeling you knew what you were talking about bro. Thank you again, for that!

I had checked up on the girls today and man I'll tell ya, since misting them with that seaweed juice the other night they are looking fine and dandy! Seriously like an overnight difference... New tops coming out, no more wilt, deep green vibrant growth staring to shine through, especially in the new growth tips. Basically they are beginning to come out of they're slumber and into lush green health.

I was really worried about them for a while... I tend to forget sometimes just how strong these plants really are. If anyone should know that, it would be me. Saving many in my guerilla grows that have completely broken into, with duct tape, cloth and a few braces made of small wooden branches.

I can see a flip coming on in about two weeks if they keep this progress up! Just ordered 4 liters each of Sensi Grow a&b today and the veg additives (B52 and voodoo I beleive), 3 and 5 gallon grow bags because I have not made up my mind which to run yet, but hey I need the three's for the veg room anyway haha... And a couple packs of ScroG nets as well. Oh, and a couple 4 cubic feet bags of course perilite to amend my pro mix BX.

Hope to get some pictures to throw up by the end of the night to show some progress. Things get boring without photos, eh??

Always trying to help a fellow greenthumb out. Im glad youre happy with the setup. In a month or so after you get your grow legs on with the full setup and system, your gonna be twiddling thumbs wondering why you didnt do this sooner :joint:
Not that the thread needs em, but I look forward to pics haha

Love the set up man! Great work!

Looks like you have a serious case of Cal/mag deficiency by the looks of he purple stems.

Are you using RO water?

Are you adding Cal/Mag on top of your nutrients?

You will HAVE to pH if you plan on growing in straight promix. No way around it.

I used to use coco for years and just currently switched over to HP. I add lots of calmag.

I don't see any issue mixing coco and hp. One will just dry out faster then the other.

Thank you LostNug and thanks for stopping by the thread!

I did administer cal-mag during transplant. Honestly they are fine. The purple stems are just due to the plants spending since Halloween in solo cups, root bound and deprived of oxygen and nutrient uptake. I have been through this many of times, keeping clones in solo cups or similar, for longer periods of time than they should spend. It makes them appear that they are in bad trouble and in reality, they are. But once transplanted and a little time to shake it off, they always turn around for me...

Just give it about 5 days and I'll update photos and show ya what I mean, how they can bounce right back like nothing ever happened.

Thanks for the helpful information on the coco/pro-mix idea. I was almost tempted to pull the trigger on a go on that one, however I decided to just run pro-mix this round. Next round, I believe I will run 2 lights upon coco and the other 2 on pro-mix just for comparison and see how I like the feel of it. I will document that as well and hopefully help out others whom are curious as well.

As far as pro-mix and pH go, I have ran pro-mix indoors for many of years. I have never had issues nor needed a pH pen, just gotta feed smart and "know" what the plants need. After right at 16 years now under my belt, I have come to put the books down, disregard the pens and instruments. Although I am always open to learning new things, I have come to know thy plant, know thy needs. Honestly, growing is every part of my life. We have our ups and downs at times but no matter where I turn, where I go, the sweet ganja lady always has my back, and when she dont, I turn around and she is standing right in front of me.. I am stoned and rambling up a storm lol.

Forgive me for that...

But I do always amend my pro-mix with a little extra dolimite lime. Usually I will measure out what I need, double it up in a couple of ziplock bags and mash it up real well with a hammer. Not only does this help stabilize my pH throughout my grow, but it also helps supply some calcium/magnesium throughout the entire grow as well. Every week or so I throw a little extra magnesium to the girls as well by mixing a little Epsom salts here and there when I feel like they are "craving" it. However, I never let them "starve" for it.

Check out my grows over on the grow room design and setup section, on my thread where I was getting help setting this new grow op up. I never pH'd anything in those grows. There are a total of I think 4 different grow photo shots on there, various, random photos and one out of those 4 I did use Advanced Nutrients pH perfect, which does the adjusting automatically but all the rest was a little roots organic, fox farms, earth juice water soluble powders, Humboldt nutrients, etc etc and still, never pH'd the first thing and always pulled over 20oz since my very first grow in 4x4's running 1000 watt hps, in pro-mix of course... Now I did pull a little less in a 600watt run I did in a 4x4, right at a little over 15 ounces but I still feel like that says there is no use for a pH pen for the man whom loves his girls. I have always believed that with love, comes knowing the needs of loved, without asking, without testing, without worry.

I can't stop rambling, but I'm gonna have to. Lol. This is what happens when you get referred to pain management and get stuck on opioid pain relievers... Makes me go on and on and on... And the morning coffee just simulates hitting the nitrous button. Another reason I can't wait till this grow is over and harvested, so I can get off of this "big pharma" bullshit and smoke some potent herb straight to the dome.

Update with pics this afternoon! Promise!

You got some good stuff there dude! Rare Dankness GTH#1, DVG Humble Pie, GPS Purple Badlands, GHS Super Silver Haze, GPS Jelly Pie.
I had a pack of the Jelly Pie in the auction for like $27 and I couldnt check out because the cash pymnt option was messed up. It went back to full price right before cash option was back. :-(

Thanks bud, I usually pay out around 3k each year on seeds, after every outdoor harvest. I buy my outdoor selection and indoor selection separately.. But sometimes I find some of the indoor strains I run work just fine in the guerilla. So basically I sacrifice a pound per year to the seed companies haha...

Have another big selection coming soon, been waiting on a lot of restock and new arrivals. SHN just got some new selections in that are pretty interesting.

Man I hate to hear that about the Jelly Pie, if I had an extra pack on hand I'd send it your way bro. Maybe one day there will be a selective cut floating around :D you never know.. Maybe I can get lucky and find a gem in that pack. I have done the same many of times, got cock blocked in auctions and sales. It does suck, at a great level!

Whats in the round bubble packs?
The round bubble packs are from TSC. I should have flipped it around so it was visible but all that are listed on the bubble pack are abbreviations anyway. Thanks for bringing up the question, in case anyone else was wondering as well.

-Karma (Sour Jack)

-More Grand Daddy Purple regs (was supposed to be fems, have no idea why they sent me regs, but I am ok with it...)

-Dna (Martian Mean Green)

And then (2GorillaGlue) which was a freebie. Have no idea the breeder or any info on the 2GorillaGlues... But if anyone knows I am interested in learning about the origins and breeder.

I wont ask what you want from SHN until you actually order it. I made the mistake of putting up what I had interest in getting a few days ago (Dankonomics "Banana Glue") at OregonEliteSeeds.com and within 24 hrs 6 packs of the Banana Glue and 7 packs of GG#4 MI cup S1 were sold out. Funny thing is nobody cared that those 13 packs had been released Dec 6th and had been sitting not selling a single pack for over 3 weeks. Thankfully I was able to snag a pack of the Banana Glue before I posted, but missed out on the GG4 S1's. Lesson learned.
