Pruning plant

Hi, i was just wondering whether pruning the small bud sites under the canopy is a wise idea. Im thinking in doing so it would give all the energy to the top cola, although this is just guess work. I am in my first week of flower and the plant is 30cm tall, he sites arent getting direct light. Havent touched it yet but was just wondering.
