Proper way to grow single cola plants

I remembered the main reason I never lolly-popped plants. Because to get the same yield you need more plants. They sentence on number of plants. So why grow 20 plants, when I can grow 4 and get the same amount of bud. But I would love to give it a try.

They put a value of $1,000 on each plant, No matter if it will yield 1/4 OZ or 6 OZ's. So I have been shooting for bigger yields per plant, and keeping fewer plants.
If you are limited by plant count, then lolly-popping isnt for you for sure. In MY state the count is 0-100 plants carry the same. I was trying to keep the count under 20 when I started out, and I had hit a yield barrier of 2lb for the room, no matter what I tried

i flower mine when they are under 8 inches and i get single cola plants. oh. and they touch each other. go figure.

Love that candelabra Man!!! I kinda accidentally lolly-popped my last grow of 2009 cuz I went to jail for 30 days at a time when I had 20 flowering ready to harvest in a week, and 20 in veg. My bro in law and "wife" (Bitch) got the harvest done, but all she did was put the vegging plants in the flower room and left 'em!!! So when I got home, my flower room was full of limp girls. I watered them right away and dammit if they didn't come back, all except 2. Anyway, I went a bit crazy taking clones so I had enough for another round.
I ended up with what you see here in the pics. So, These vegged for 45 days under 400w MH, then I "stripped" almost all the side branching for clones. (JHxAfghan Indica landrace BTW)

I kept an Indica Dom and a Sat Dom pheno, you can see them in comparison. Well, about week 7 I noticed that most of them had only one main Cola and I about shit when I saw them. Imagine 72 of these under 3K of light!!! They were PACKED in there, I'll tell ya!!

I ended up with a bit over 4lb after all was said and done. I broke my barrier and I was a REALLY happy camper. I'd post more pics of the grow after this one, but unfortunately, that was to be my last grow until this year!! Cops have the comp and all the pics. In MY OPINION, for higher yields indoors you'll get better results from many smaller single cola plants. I now do 72 plants/clones in 8" grow bags on a 4' x 8' flood table. I'm shooting for a constant cycle so that I can harvest every 60 or so with 7 lb or better per harvest. Outdoors, lolly-popping would be counter productive (I think)

exactly what I needed to know. You mean strip the brantches only or anything that is growing at all (like the starts of branches?)
I don't want my plants to be bald on the bottom and only have nugs on the very top. I want nuggets all the way down and up..
Why? Whats better, 1 big ass quality bud, or a bunch of popcorn nugs that'll dry out into belly button lint?

he never has any input on the subject. only shows off pictures of his OUTDOOR plants in an INDOOR thread... obviously 20 colas would be great, if you have the space...
I dunno Dude, that looks like an indoor plant to me. The walls and the corner its in was my dead give away. You can pack 72 plants in a 4'x8' area with NO probs.

ok guys its really easy the more plants you have the more light you need. for example in a 4x4 room youll need 800 watts minimum to grow 6-8 plants. now can you fit in 12 plants sure but that means under developed buds a plenty why you ask it easy cramming plants together means less lumens per plant which leads to under developed buds. so less space less plants or more verry small plants . if you want single colas then flower at 8 inches or less. you may not like it cause its not the idea you had in mind but its fact.
"in a 4x4 room youll need 800 watts minimum to grow 6-8 plants."

And with that single sentence = Any cred you may have had (lol! as if...) is shot through the stratosphere and far out into an oblivion of nothingness. I'd prefer to believe you're trolling because the only other reasonable explanation points to you being a pre-teen pop corn farmer growing beans under a Glow Worm night light when mums not watching. I don't need to point out how ridiculous your suggestion that "800 watts" is necessary to grow decent bud in a tiny "4x4 grow room." That statement is as ludicrous as anything I have ever seen posted in any grow forum, and I've seen a great many double face-palmers. We should create an award for such buffoonery, I do believe you'd get the Platinum.

Lol. Dude you're getting angry with a guy who was on this site for 3 days.

He joined on the 11th June 2008 and hasn't posted since 14th June 2008.

I have to agree with original sinner. I've been growing for over 30 years and I can tell you to grow a single cola plant you have to force flower it before the 5th node or 8" . I've done this many times with great success

Loosely tie a string around the main stem just below the top set of leaves. This will discourage side-branching.

single cola plants have nothing to do with genetics. you people amaze me with how little yo know single cola plants are plants that are force flowered b 4 they have 5 nodes or in other words when your plant is about 8 inches tall induce flower heres the result

Hi mate I am now starting a sea of green grow myself and would be happy if mine turned out like yours and was wondering what your average yeild is per plant hope you can shed some light on this thanks
DUDE! You're asking a guy a question from 2008! He don't exist on this board any more!

Don't make zombie threads by bringing back the dead!

Make a new one - Ask a question your self!

As to your question....Strain dependent, I was getting a 32 gr average on a specific breeders G13 in SOG.....I tried to do that in an experiment to reach a particular goal. Took me 2 tries to reach the goal.
You must keep in mind that it's all strain dependent per yielding.

Ohh yea sorry dude I will try post new ones from now on but anyway thanks for the reply just to let you know I am growing big buhhda blue cheese I would be so happy with what you got 32g a plant but as you say it takes a couple runs I vegged for about 9 days then flipped they are around 2 feet tall that being the tallest ones and some runts which are about 1 foot even if I got half what you did I would be happy I Would appreciate any tips you could give also did you ever defoliate at all ? Here is some pics to give you perspective thanks

Your very correct

My question to you is people always tell me growing single cola in Errol Pano’s reduces the quality due to the increase in quantity

If somehow I maintain the weed to keep the plant 2 to 3 inches tall but develop a good 3 inch round root ball
Would this not increase plant-year-old end of gone probably still produce high-quality due to the plant is being all its energy into one:

Would this not increase plant yield end of gone probably still produce high-quality due to the plant does being all its energy into one: And this one is off-topic but since you know what you’re talking about does Aeroponids decreased quality of crop

Fdd....I just wanted to say...I like your axes. I have a studio in my house so I can appreciate someone who plays....and grows. LDHF....Long Distance High Five . Beyond that....this thread is hillarious...it's almost as if everyone thinks talking shit is gonna produce a single cola plant with tight buds....lol.
Nice! I was thinking the same! Im new to growing. Ive had 2 successful grows from bag seed.trying different lighting, mediums and strains before spending too much on seeds that i may screw up. Ive tried different training techniques! There is just a vast amount of scientific information to absorb! Along with the amount of equipment to absorb cash! Anyway I rely on the internet and forms like this to gain knowledge as I suppose the rest of us are with the exception of people that want to antagonize others for no apparent reason! I find growing weed relaxing enjoyable and rewarding without hostility stress and Malice so I have to ask who on this "Green" Earth who smokes weed gets hostile and mean and rude?

I think your best bet is to use a 12/12 light schedule right from seed!
it may develop tiny branches but it will mostly be a single cola.
if you really want you can trim those branches but I think it'll hurt the yield
