I think 70 is fine. I cure buds under my bed in a jar and seems to work fine. The trick is to dry them correctly before curing and burp often to redistribute residual moisture to lessen the chance of moldy bud.

just started and im leaving the jars shut for 12 hours then opening them for 12, is that okay for the beginning? i read it was..

then move to leaving them shut for about 20 hours with 4 one hour intervals of being open and burped?

thanks :]

That should be fine. I usually open the jars and dump out the bud for about an hour 3x a day for the first 3 days and then open jars for about an hour 3x a day until I am happy with them.

how long do you air dry before jarring them? or are you just putting them in the jar right away?

well i hung dry off hangers for about 4 days. but the humidity where i live is about 38% (a little on the dry side) so that helped. and i kept the temps around 65. by the end they were pretty dry.
