I'm loving how cheap the parts are and how easy it is to work on.

Got a good portion of it ripped apart and a bunch of the new parts came today, still have a bunch more to get. I'm replacing the entire front end and updating it a little, going with a newer year and better lights. Figure I'll have $700 in parts and it'll look like a new truck.

See the bottle with the pink liquid in front of the truck? That's homemade penetrating fluid, 50/50 acetone/AT transmission fluid. Works better than anything I've ever used.

The truck should look similar to this when I'm done, except it'll be charcoal gray in color on top and black bedliner from the lower body line down.

Brilliant. Chemist approves. Try mineral spirit in place of acetone; a little less "grabby"

Yeah this projects thread is pretty cool. Good idea whoever started this. Except the whole part where I'm like "Hey check out this desk I refinished!". And @420God 's like "Damn Neo! Nice job man, that would look really nice in this 40ft pole barn I just built." Lol. Really though you inspire me to think what I could accomplish. If I wasn't me lol.

I feel guilty if I don't have something to show for the day. :-?

Today after work I got a little more of the truck apart. I should be able to start cleaning it up and piecing it back together now.

This is how I keep my hardware. Somehow I can remember where every single bolt/nut goes from everyone of my projects.
