problem with 600watt digital greenhouse

i have a 600watt digital greenhouse system. it is suppoesed to automatically switch from mh to hps when i change bulbs, but everytime i switch the bulb from mh to hps the hps runs for like 2 weeks and then stops working. does anyone know why this is happening

It could be the bulb?Or probably a defect in the ballast let the people you bought it from know whats going on..

dude ive had the same problem as you. i sent back countless bulbs and that was not the problem. so we returned the ballast for a new one and the same problem. i think the electronic switch in the ballast is junk. im thinking of returning the digital for an old school kind when i have a couple weeks for a return.

ya i have gone threw twon bulbs already, each one only lasted a few weeks.

my 1kw used to shut off sporatically. then i raised it to let air circulate behind it. its yet tor turn off so i just assumed it was an overheat auto shutoff kinda thing goin on.

been workin fine since.
