problem, confused, please help..

White widow, not auto, 1st week in flowering, growing under 2 250 cfls. temp is always around 25-31c, humidity is around 35-55%. ph 6.5 watering tested regularly. planted in biobizz all mix soil. nutrients used: biobizz grow and biobizz bloom. the lady suffered from magnesium deficiency 2 weeks ago, fixed the problem with epsom salts, 3 days ago used molasses for the first time when watered. Thrips occurred 2 weeks ago as well, the problem is fixed with foliar spray pyrethrum, keeping a close eye with a magnifying glass daily. The leaves have yellow/brownish spots, what could be the deficiency or is this a result from thrips?

That is still calmag def, you need to keep feeding them epsom salt the whole cycle or you'll just keep getting fan leaves that will get those spots and then eventually die off. I would recommend using general organics calmag, stuff works like a charm

P.s. from my experience you should always feed your ladies some kind of calmag supp, even in veg because you def may not show up in veg but within 2 weeks of flippin into flowing you'll have some f'd up fan leaves and this will slow the flowering process which in turn will cause smaller buds.. Plants love calmag all the time and especially during the first 4 weeks of flowering

thanks max316420 for your reply, just as it goes i bought calmag which i intend to replace epsom salts, also just a quick question, i have just watered my plants with my usual nutes so would it be ok to add calmag now on its own just before lights off?

what calmag did you buy?

just wondering because i had this same problem and it took me like a year to figure it out, was certain that it was a calmag def and ended up trying most calmag supplements and still had the problem, you want a supplement that is ONLY calcium and mag wo a npk ratio which most are. Try general organics calmag (only 3 ingredients) at 2 tsp's every watering

also alot of calmags supplements are very week but due to the npk ratio will bring your ppm up to where you thing you have enough calmag but in all actually your just feeding them npk too

i bought Bloom calmag 6.8-0-0, is that any good, it does say its organic?

its got a lot of n it will fuck up you n-p-k ratio. you will have to use less n or return it and get just plain cal/mag. GO is good I use it. not sure on the price though. Also a real bloom would be 2-7-4 (made number up).

Cal/mag from GH is a decent price and work well. You mentioned foliar feeding, how badly did you spray and did you use a wetting agent? Droplets left on the leaves act like a magnifying glass burning the leaves and create similar spotting. She looks healthy bud...nice.

Sir.Ganga - Thanks yea she is healthy and the other two plants that i have are really flawless (touch wood) the foliar spray was used just before lights outs and only with water and pyrethrum (recommended dose) , so before the lights came back on it shouldve all dried off. no i didnt use any wetting agents, i wasnt aware of that, what is it?

Darth Dank - thanks looking for alternatives as i go, would be a bit of a problem to return it as my curiosity got the worst of me and i've just opened it are there any specific brands that i could purchase in UK?

No clue both the ones i use are made in California. I forget ppl from all over the world use this site. Bio Bizz has to be cheaper by you. Do they make a cal/mag ?

yea biobizz is cheaper than fox farm, etc. hardly any shops sell GO or GH in UK but are more expensive to make up for import.. and as far as i know biobizz does not make any cal/mag solutions, this wouldve been my first choice too as im using biobizz nutrients already

That Cal-Mag Bloom looks like the opposite of what you want (more like grass fertilizer). Darth Dank is correct, for blooming, you want a high phosphorus level (middle number) compared to nitrogen and potassium levels. High nitrogen levels are mostly useful for vegetative growth.

Is this the case with all flowering plants/ varities? What do you think of Biotenicare Cal/Mag? Label does say it has N in it as well.
A saturator is basically a soap to help saturate the leaves and transfer nuts to the leaves especially amino acids when foiler feeding with something like a tea. Delivers nuts directly to the leaves.
I use one called Saturator but will be switching to Dr broms soap or something much cheaper.
