Prime time top drop humidity, and alternatives to dehumidifiers?

At what point in flower is it crucial to drop humidity levels to prevent the mold? I have some heavy yielders and I don't want mold. When should I REALLY start to worry about humidity, at what week in flower with 8 week flowering strains? Dehumidifiers are not an option, so I was wondering if there are any other alternatives to dropping the humidity? Possibly Damp Rid? Accidentally put this in the newbie section, cant figure out how to move it?

it's not just mold you need to worry about, high humidity inhibits resin production from my experience so you want that as low a possible as early as possible to ensure maximum production.

why aren't dehumidifiers an option? if not just make sure no buds are leaning against walls and your air flow is good, really good. empty out catch basins regularly, and water in the morning. Id say mold is the biggest threat the farther you get along, like the bigger the bud gets.

I flipped to 12/12 on the first of December. So I guess Im really two weeks into flower and my night time humidity hits about 50 while my humidity with lights on is in the 20s and 30s. I gotta try and get it down now but I don't want to use a dehumidifier.

I don't have the space for one in the room. Also all ive heard was horror stories of fires and shit so I prefer to stay away from them. Will damp rid work?

20s and 30s is fine with the lights on. just move more air out of the room with the lights off. simple.

Do you only run vents when lights are on? If so, that is your fix, get the vents on, maybe lower speed, but on 24/7.

I wish I had a way to set my temp switch that turns on my vent fan for day temps to be 75ish and night temps to around 69 automatically without having to constantly change the temps. Is there something of that sort available anywhere?

Thermostat for a furnace, not sure how to rig it, but exactly what you are talking about.

You could always just put a $20 heater in there on a timer so it kicks on 3 times over night just to trigger your fans.

Otherwise you need an alternative solution for night that pulls air from inside your house, or dehumidifiers.

Are there any digital temp controllers that I can set for example 12pmto12am 75 degrees F and then from 12am to 12pm with lights off to kick on at 69 degrees F? that would keep my humidity levels down cause te fan would kick on when lights are off.

If not then Im gonna have to get a small space heater like you said even though I hate space heaters cause those are even worst horror stories there

I don't see any, could you just use two and have them on a timer? Depending on your setup a relay may be needed, but should work.

You don't need a digital controller to have 2 temp settings.

A second timer and t-stat/speed controller/whatever you use set up for dark periods will get you there probably a lot cheaper.

Wiring your fan in parallel to both timers will keep you from buying an additional fan.

how could I plu the fan into two timers without having to splice on another male end?
