Pressed hash binder

I'm using grinder kief and pollen press to make pressed hash. I was told that because of the plant matter I will have to press it for 24 hours every once in a while tightening the press. If the puck is still crumbly add a drop of alcohol. I only have 99% ISO would that be alright? Where I live Everclear is $36 a liter and there is no way I'm paying that much.

Is there anything else I could use to bind my pressed hash besides ISO and Everclear? I was thinking that leaving the press in the hot car might be beneficial.

U should really stick to the one post about grinder hash.
You COULD buy a terpene like linalool or an essential oil of hops that is high in myrcene and use ONE drop of that to try and stick your kief together, IMO tho grinder hash isn't worth too much trouble because it's usually such a low grade.

Why not forget the press and use the keif to make iso oil or cook with it. Blunter is correct in saying grinder keif is usually low grade.

I know it's not the best, I just really wanted to use my new press. Any suggestions where to buy linalool or oil of hops besides the internet?

Yeah I should have stuck to one thread...bad etiquette I suppose. Like many I've been lurking for years and finally started posting. Lessons learned.

Well u could try to source some local essential oils from aromatherapists or buy from over the counter at Trader Joes but not often will you find pure isolated chemicals like linalool, myrcene, alpha-terpineol, and alpha-pinene unless you order from a company who specializes in the production and distribution of essential oils for the food industry, most of which are usually based in India or China and some allow you free 20ml samples of their products for only the fee of shipping to your house.
I bought my linalool on eBay, as for the high myrcene hops oil, it's hard to find so perhaps lemon grass since it can be bought online.

Yeah, after you mentioned the essential oils I check ebay...not bad prices but nothing is better than sorta free. I like samples.

Unless you find a local distributor then expect to pay like $90 for shipping to the states, so if your asking for samples from a company make it worth while, choose like a dozen terpenes to receive samples of, you may just save money since the price of a 30ml vial of essential oil is usually about $15 ;)

Could you use a food grade turpentine ?
I don't know that they make food grade turpentine, because turpentine is distilled from pine tree sap there's really no way for you to tell what terpenoids are in a mixture of hydrocarbons like that, some of which are toxic.
Food grade turpentine would be pure alpha or beta pinene depending on the geographical region from which the tree sap came from.
So look for an essential oil high in pinene instead
