No Hole On The Side. My Question Is Hempy Is just Providing Air To Your Roots So Why Cant You Go From The Top.:peace:

Dirt Growers Are Allowed 1 1/4 Inch Hole In The Bottom Center Of The Cup:bigjoint:
Hydro Growers Are Allowed A Hole Big Enough For A 1 Inch Net Pot To Sit Flush With The Lid bongsmilie

Yes Any Type Of Training Is Allowed

i don't want to,

but what if a hydro grower wanted to feed by using a drain to waste method. they would need that 1/4 hole in the bottom too.

just helping out with clarification bongsmilie

The hole is not for air. Its to allow drainage while maintaining a set amount of water in the container. Kind of like a hybrid DWC/DTW

I was thinking of doing that myself. Assuming I could find a couple of tiny little elbows.
You Can Do The Same Thing With A Bottom Hole.:weed:

Not really. Bottom hole just makes it a Drain to Waste. Hempy style utilizes a reservoir of water (like DWC, but much smaller) in the bottom of the container. You're eliminating a whole style of hydro here.
Ok My Favorite System Is Top Dip Feed I.E. WaterFarm However Unless I Do Some Major Modifications This System Just Doesn't Fit the Bill For The Party Cup Hence The Reason I Run A Swc Or Mini Bubbler. In Short Theirs Many Many Hydro Systems That Dont Fit The Bill When It Comes To The Party Cup.

Now Staying In Guideline While Using The Rules Which States The Dirt Grower Can Have A Small Lid Under Their Cup To Catch Runoff. Why Cant You Modify Your Hempy System To Stay Within The Above Guidelines??

The drain hole in the side is what defines Hempy. But if its not allowed then its not allowed.

well not trying to be difficult dawg, but i can mix nutes, pour it through my cup into the toilet with no reservoir, drain to waste.

an even smaller hole would let the water sit in the cup longer.

Well Their Goes The NeighborHood. Your Not Being Difficult But You Did Take My Next Smartazz Response Away >:( But Thats Exactly How I Would Have Answered That Question About Drain To Waste In A Party Cup. Hey You Want to Stand Over The Toilet And Flush Money Down The Drain Go Right Ahead. Hold On With 1 Rule. Your Must Drain To Toilet During Lights On :bigjoint:

Well, Drain to Waste means exactly that - the drainage is waste, its not reused.

But remember no res pumping or flowing water into the cup. That means IV bags too :fire:

Brother The Last Time We Talked You Were Running Induction And I Saw where Inda-Grow Had Switch to SMD's So I Thought You Might Have 1 Of Their New Lamps? :hump:

I do have the new smd lamp from inda gro. Its Darryl not Dan. It covers a larger area 5x4 for flower. Its being used for regular rotation.

designed my cup with a fabric top and plastic bottom filled with perlite so the water will run out the side of the cup past the fabric and into my drain tray.
