Premature harvest

I would like to see a follow up regards the general bud smell and a smoke report. Only because I have never ever had a stinky bud from a premature harvest yet, I mean ever! Its often harsh and heady short lived stones even after curing in buckets with Bovedas. There also quite green which won't help either but I'd say you were doing well up until yer dad stepped in... Nice one but shame you couldn't have done another week to 10 days maybe even 3 weeks!

^^Agreed^^. There are several reasons for grassy, hay smelling buds but I would wager that MOST of the time it's because the grower harvested too early. I've proven this to myself at least a couple times where I trim a couple colas early to try to get a more 'up' energetic high, then harvest the rest 10 days to 2 weeks later. This year I grew Girl Scout Cookies and the early harvest has nearly zero odor but the colas chopped 10 days later smell awesome. But that's why we're all here, to learn from our mistakes and hopefully figure out what to do differently next time.

I hate grassy hay smelling bud and even if I had none I'd rather do without... always gives me a really sore throat man! Like smoking tealeaves....

They turned out like you said lol. The smell is ok, but the high is fast short lived stones. Here's some pics from last harvest image.jpeg

Too many white hairs on that. Needs more brown. And they recede more when they're closer to being ready.
