Powder mildew

I have powder mildew to the point of no return. My question is how I can I rid my Grow Room of the mildew and mold spores that now exist? From what I have been reading about that stuff it seem likes it never goes away. Would it be better if I just started over with a new grow space? Or can the room truly be used again?

Dont give up on your room just yet. There are worse things you could be dealing with.

1. Your going to have to clean all of your equipment/lights/fans/meters/floors/walls -EVERYTHING gets wiped down with a 10% bleach solution.
This isnt the time to skimp on details and cleanliness unless you want to keep dealing with it so do it good the first time.
2. I'd suggest investing in a sulfer vaporizer for your grow room. When used properly, it creates a ph on all the surfaces that the PM can't grow/spread on. Its usually the first defense when people have PM issues and they often disappear after the first 2-3 room treatments. Initial cost is approx $120.00 USD for everything you'd need.
Do you have plants in the room now?

You can hit them with Hydrogen Peroxide & water mix on the affected spots. I've used 1.5 cups of 3% H2o2 per gallon of water, and hit em with it about an hour or so before the lights come on. I suppose you could do a "bud wash" on them when you harvest to make sure there is no PM on your yield. Be cautious of moldy bud and getting them too wet for too long. Thats why I suggest doing it an hour before lights go on so it has time to work, but not sit and get moldy. Sounds like you may have an air circulation/exchange issue also if you have PM as bad as you say you do. Best of luck on your grow.

Whats you're grow room running at for RH and Temp?.

I've found that proper management of the room, includes airflow, prune back leaves for airflow and plant density pretty much stops PM or botryis.
PM spores are everywhere, the point is to keep them from growing to penetrate into the tissues. Yes genetics has something to do with PM resistance too. PM will happen when its cool and humid.

For some applications where things cannot be controlled you could use a systemic fungicide like Eagle 20, but only in early veg you will have to be very careful at the end when it has degraded to zero because your flowers will not have any protection.

high temps help keep it away along with lower humidity. dont let temps flux too much from light to dark. if its bad enough i would start over. the faster you get on it the better. and keep on it dont let a spec appear. i found an affordable way to treat it called safergrow mildew cure. you can use it in flower up until the last 2 weeks of harvest. i always dip my buds in RO water before i dry them to make sure to get off whatever i can. i use about 12ml per quart. too much will kill your fan leaves so be careful. Once your plant has PM it will always have a much higher chance of it coming back even if you cut clones, those clones will be more susceptible. I also notice usually plants from seed are much more resistant than plants from clone. mildew spores are in the air everywhere. we are breathing them in right now.
