Possible nitrogen toxicity?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if it looks like I have too much nitrogen? Leaves are going v Green almost blueish and it’s been a couple days since I transplanted into canna terra pro mix soil which is meant to be quite hot. I haven’t given them an nutes ever although I’ve been spraying every 2nd day with seasol foliar spray.

If it’s too much nitrogen what should I do?

Thanks in advance.

Leaves also look a bit shiny/glossy. Temps have been between 22-26 Celsius and humidity ~50%. They haven’t been watered since transplanting 3 days ago when I saturated the pot until there was run off. Thanks everyone

I get a little yellow like this, when my ph is over 7. Soil or hydro. It can also happen hydro from hard water. Especially in a recycling reservoir, not being changed often enough.

But really you can act slowly. Your plant is in pretty good shape.

Okay awesome thanks boys so you think I’m sweet to continue spraying seasol foliar feed or give it an extra couple days to see how they go in this soil??

I wouldnt worry about foliar spray. Feed it to the roots.
Determine your ph first. If its soil, do a slurry test. If its hydro/coco, check the ph of your runoff.
If your ph is in check, then test your ec.
Id wait until your next water/feed. Youre barely locked out at all.
Id say its just close to needing more food. But check your ph/ec first. Then go from there.

Cool thanks Tim I’m a first timer so do you mind explaining a slurry test?? Also I don’t have one of those EC pens is there a way around this? I’ve been watering with 6.0 ph water. Cheers

You can get a cheap soil test kit for about 10 bucks. Although not the most accurate, ph metres you stab into the ground are handy to just leave in the medium, so if there are fluctuations you catch on faster.
You can check with your ph pen aswell with some of the soil and distilled water. But i cant remember the ratio. Just google it.
As for an ec/ppm metre i highly recommend one. Otherwise you rwally need to know about macros and micros.
It just makes things a lot easier :hump:
