polymer crystals for soil

been doing a little reading on this to see if it would work...one site claims they help for 5 years...i am sceptical of this...but they go on to claim that they are potassium based and break down into fertilizer instead of salt...nice thought...anyway here are a few links...anyone tried to use them? :idea:

This is interesting. I can see a grower maybe using a few in a planter that drains too fast, etc. from crappy soil mixture . . . in flower, when re-mixing the soil isn't practical.

I dunno . . . I saw they'd written something like "not as likely to mold, fungus, etc." re: their newer version of this stuff.

ddnt know there was a newer version...have to look some more

i use the crystals for my outdoor grow, keeps the soil moist for whenever i go on vacation and i can't water them, so far my ladies are doing very well and have not had any problems,
