Pollination Question

Hi all ,
So , I take 1 female from my tent that holds other flowering females. I will brush pollen on the 1 female I took out.
My question is , how soon can I put the pollinated female back in with the others without risk of the fans blowing pollen onto the other non-pollinated females?
Thanks

The method I use as I rarely just let pollen fly is to pollinate the branch(es) I want, let it sit for ~3 hours (enough time for it to take), then just lightly spray water on the pollinated buds before putting the plant back into the flowering room. Besides holding down any chance of flying pollen, water makes it non-viable. Important to keep in mind when you're storing it, why a lot of folks use flour to cut it/store it and store it in well sealed containers, typically with rice to pick up any potential moisture in the container.

So once you spray it lightly with water the pollen won't fly around and you can put it back into youur flower room with other non breeding plants? If so that's pretty cool I'll have to try it Cuz I'm wanting to grow some fem seeds really bad.

Yeah this is pretty standard practice, a lot of folks do this as they don't have dedicated spaces available. I use the same principle in my tent as I rarely want to pollinate a whole plant, a couple of good branches can generate a shit load of seeds so I'll select a couple, then the rest of the plant is just extra smoke or hash :p

Ok cool thanks a bunch I'll be doing this very soon than I have a bunch of clones to use up and now I know what i can do with them to get a bunch of seeds.

Quick question how long does it take for a male plant to mature and about to open its pollen sacks, and how can you tell they're about to open. I only have one grow tent right now so I'll have to keep my male plant in there too.

Males mature fast, strain dependant but anywhere in the 3-4 weeks at 12/12 from clone or vegged, 4-5 weeks 12/12 from seed. Sacs are fairly large so you can usually tell by eye. I take close-up pics, had just posted some of this plant in my thread/sig where you can see some of them opening. Here's one below, you can see a couple of them opened up, like umbrellas. The thing with pollen is once it starts, anything in that tent that's ready to be pollinated, that is producing bud, will get pollinated. The worst (or best if you're trying to make seeds) time to have a male dropping pollen is when the females are around the 3 week mark. That's usually when the buds are set in and ready to be pollinated, and there's lots of time to make and ripen the seeds.
