Pollen Sacs from Hermie'd plant for Breeding???

Hey guys and gals, I have what I thought was a male rockstar plant, turns out its a hermie.. I picked off all the ripe pollen sacs with hopes tro breed them, but then I noticed the plant is also budding.. If i use this pollen to pollinate another plant, will the seeds that it produces have a hermie trait? or will it be fine?

You can't get the genetics from the pollen you need to save the genetics and from now on I encourage a cutting. You can try to reveg that rockstar to see if he will straighten out because if the genetics are solid it should be ok. It depends on whether you know for a fact you didn't hermie him out. So did you?

i will admit to doing this, shameful i know
but results weren't all bad, increased risk for hermies
but not 100%, not by a long shot
i saw about a 50-50 split, and the hermie plants revealed themselves early
for me it no worse than reg seeds, the normal femmes were rock solid, no trace of maleness

This whole thread is full of inaccuracies....why is it that most of the sought after cuts come from a bagseed? Yep, intersex.
Reg seeds have as much chance to display intersex as much as inbred intersex aka S1's, it is all about selection and population counts. All intersex seeds do not always produce intersex progeny or at least that it was selecting is all about, finding out if the line should be trashed or kept. Dna marker assisted breeding isn't here quite yet, so we still have to use tried and true methods of plant selection.
Furthermore, some advocate using intersex female pollen for breeding fems to quickly suss out homo/hetero qualities much faster than filial breeding if done right....

Do we need to start a list of desirable cuts that have a history of intersex flowers?

og lines [the top dawg of intersex cuts
sour d
thai narrow leaves
asian narrow leaves

etc etc

A plant that shows male and then herms female is breeding gold, I've had 3 of em over the years bred all 3 into my program have yet to see a nanner from any of the offspring

So many misconceptions in these forums

Would you guys would breed with this?
How do you know the most sought after bag seed "cuts" are from intersex plants?
why are there clone only strains?
Yes I would, just said so. If ya search for it you'll see other breeders do as well, I know DJ Short does have read it in his articles. I also use immature white seeds because they are DNA mutants that offer different traits (much akin to your downs reference)

Whole lot more to breedin than chuckin pollen

who says it is staminate flower and not a actually a pistillate flower? most likely all the seeds will be fem. Some might show intersex ^ and some won't. I have never seen "pure" males produced in this manner either....
