Poison "f#$kin" ivy

I'm an Eagle scout and couldn't even tell you what poison ivy looks like, though I do remember lookin out for it a lot as I was in scouts, but think of all the poison ivy we could kill with the 8 billion a year they spend on a plant that makes your eyes water if you rub them after touching it, ie marijuana!

theres a difference between pulling a few weeds and eradicating an entire species. an itchy rash doesnt justify ecocide.

my girl is bringin me ZANFEL wich from what ive read and heard is the best stuff you can get short of prescription steroids.
says it binds to uruish oils, that cause the rash, itching stops within 30 seconds and the rash should be gone in 3 days! HELL YA! ill let you guys know later tonite how it works.

oh yeah this shit is 40$ for a 1 ounce tube...so it better be the shit!

can the earth handle humans? are you aware that we are currently experiencing the most dramatic crash in biodiversity that this planet has ever experienced. the current rate of extinction is faster than that of the dinosaurs. and eradicating pioson ivy isn't a matter of survival

HELLOOOO! this thread is about POISON IVY!

My grandmother told me that she would have her kids eat the leaf of poison ivy. For instance, she would put a leaf on their sandwich. I guess the thought process is that it would build up a tolerance. She was also afraid to walk in front of the microwave or a TV remote when it was being used.

However, my Dad is immune to it. I got it once really bad when I was young and have never had it since.

I can't imagine smoking weed with poison ivy on it ahhhh that would suck so bad I remember when I
had poison ivy on my face not only was my face deformed but it was itching so bad I hope I never get
that shit again.

just used the ZANFEL, absolutely unbelievable!!!! about a half hour ago i wanted to slit my throat... now i cant feel a thing, this stuff is truely amazing! i cant believe in all my days of getting posion ivy that a doctor or anybody else hasnt recommended it. well worth the money, i would be willing to pay over $100 a tube with no regrets! i seriously dont itch whatsoever! you can also use it on your face and balls too!

supposedly the rash is supposed to start dying cause all the uruish oil is washed away now. ive tried just about everything even getting steroid shots, and this "so far" seems to be the winner! i really cant even tell that i have poison ivy right now.

and while researching earlier i found a product thats called "ivy block" that is supposed to block ivy for a few hours until you take a shower. anyone ever tryied it or heard anything about it?

Use "Tecnu" I am EXTREMELY allergic to poison ivy. I can get it just by being within 25 feet of it. You rub the tecnu on your skin BEFORE you go out into the woods and it should prevent you from getting it in the first place...I have had severe poison ivy on my face, in between my fingers(it turns into big bubbles like the size of a marble) and everywhere else you can imagine, and my mom used this for me when i was little and i never stopped using it because it works so well. I mean when i use it i dont get poison ivy in the woods...works for me, hope this helps

Okay, I am sort of an expert when it comes to PI. I have encountered it many many times and can now tell within 30 seconds if i have touched it. It has a specific feeling right off. yes the products mentioned (Tecnu and Zanfel) are the very best thing to use.

Showering with water or plain soap and water will SPREAD it. It is oil based and water will not wash it off. Like washing off trichs from weed, not possible.

I have been close to hospitalization once and got a real good education from my physician. yes, i had it all around my crotch and my eyes. i looked like I went a round with Mike tyson it was that bad. Ii could barely see. Massive doses of steroids were the only thing which kept me from a body wrap in the hospital.

If you do not react to PI it is because the PI can overcome your immune system, not the other way around. A strong immune system (like mine) will try to fight it off. the stronger the immune system, the stronger the reaction.

yes, it is said that if you VERY EARLY in the growing season place a leaf under your tongue, when the PI is more weak, it will help you stave it off later. I wouldn't try that.

Im not allergic and i used to plant directly in the middle of Poison sumac patches, most animals wont even go in there. nestles are even worse.Poison sumach is horible stuff if your allergic. Hot Medicine baths are the only cure and even than Poison oak and sumac affect u for life, leaving dry scaly skin where affected for years.

See, it does have a purpose! One last thing i did forget earlier.... NEVER burn PI to get rid of it. If you inhale the smoke, you will be one sorry SOB.....

I have been a landscaper my whole life I've personally seen a death related to burning poison ivy. wear a mask and stay away Even if your not allergic.

i hate poison ivy. my property used to be covered in it, but not anymore.
i highly enjoy takin an axe to the large poison ivy vine growin up a tree. i come back every day just to talk shit to it as it dies a slow painful death.
then i use roundup on the remining plant which does the trick.

what i do is just suck it up and put on long pants even in the middle of summer its hot and u will sweet ur balls off but not to bad of a sacrifice if u don't get the itchys !
