plushberry nanners?

I have to plushberry phenos one I'm 95% sure its the pink lady pheno which has grown amazingly so far. The other which is muc taller heavier, and lil pickier has gotten a few Hermie nanners on it. These popped up shortly after I top dressed. Now I kno tht plushberry is sensitive but has anyone had Hermie nanners from overfeeding a pb? If it hermied from overfeedimg I will run it once more. Thanks for any help nerds

Herm traits tend to show much more often when over fed, even more common w/ super soil because of the slow release of super concentrated nutes.

BCS is known for being a bitch w/ nutes. If you love her, I'd give her another go, might be ok (might not too)

5 PB seeds, 4 fems. Of the 4 I put 3 in last round, they all hermied. Dialed in room, 4 other varieties and PB was the only on that hermed. Carefully watching #4.

Like I said, BCS is known for being a bitch, it's that 1 in 4 pheno that is amazing, everyone knows BCS leaning plush and aos tend to herm, it's the trade off you get w/ this mom. But she brings a lot to the table, color, smell and super fast onset of flower. I havent ran her yet bc of the herm issues tbh, but if I was offered a proven cut, for damned sure I'd swoop that up.

I knew sunni cheba when he was around CA still and working with the bcs line. He stopped using it because of the hermie potential. He said it was a problem in pure bcs and worse in any crosses.

I ran (blackberry x BCS) and AOS(BCS dom) and both threw nanners late. It is always late and not a total hermie...but still a problem.

I think there is a reason sub has gone to the urkle and qurkle to make the newer purple crosses.

Thanks for the info guys. Mike its hard to decide to run that cut again cuz I'm pretty sure I have the pink lady pheno which is wht I was lookin for. She is happy as hell. I may try once more with the other cuz she is super frosty and heavy but it will depend on the smoke. Again thanks for the info and if all else I can just start my Dr.who's and galactic Jack.

I wonder if there is any difference with old PB and new PB seeds. I had grown PB a few times, all with seeds ~3 years old. No hermies, about 75% female, ran well every time. I ran in Supersoil and then later in a ROLS soil, but always fine. Only hit the purple pheno the first time. Never seen again.

Never ran the plush but I did just get done with a batch of AOS. I had 3 phenos, my most bcs dominant showed nanners while the other two were beautiful ladies. Like mike said, you want that black cherry dom with no problems you're gonna have to put some work into it.

There are far better cuts and seeds out there. I won't waste time on Plushberry any longer. The high was nice, but lacked punch.

I've ran the bcs pheno plush and tried to get her to banner but couldn't ,you got to love that vanilla cherry flavor and very fast budset ,that said its does lack the punch.i did star with 30 seeds

Right now I have one female on a 5 pack... always had great luck with sub's gear (3 or 4 fem in a 5'er), but this one has me underwhelmed so far. I'll hope for the best for the next month or so as I'm 17 days in atm.

If the high isn't amazing on it then it'll prolly get tossed. I have liked everything I have had from tga. Never a bad pack, and like I said I have another pheno tht I'm pretty sure is the one in subs description on the tga strain guide. That being said if neither my girlfriend and I enjoy the manner pheno then we will just keep the other cut. I will throw some finished pics up in about 3 weeks or so

There's a phenomenon described by Chimera and others where sometimes the first time you run a plant you end up with some nanners, usually on the lower branches, but if you run it again they never show up. Often they are sterile. Not really great breeding stock, but can be good keeper plants for head stash.

Over fertilization can do it. Being root bound can do it. Light leaks, excessive temperature as well are pretty common causes. Simply a bad confluence of recessive genes can do it as well.

Pretty hard to overfertilize with organics though, especially a fully flowering cannabis hybrid. Some varieties are a bit more sensitive but you're more likely to underfertilize going organic than the opposite. I'm not sure why people always talk about how hot super soil is. It seems like only young plants might have a problem with it IMO (just based on the recipe).

I top dressed at 25 days. Noticed slight leaf tip burn 2 days after then manners 5 days after, temps never rise over 75, and the room gets checked every harvest for leaks. I agree it is hard to over fertilize in organics but this specific hybrid is well documented as a nutrient picky strain. So let's hope for the best next run as I will use less soil in the pot and prolly not top dress.

I don't have pics cuz I have been spot checking everyday and pulling the calyx tht has it. Raiderman I wouldn't say don't try the strain, just be super gentle wit nutes. I found the pink lady pheno in a five pack and tht pheno did not Hermie at all. A sees or two in a QP is not a big deal. The rest of the crop looks happy and on schedule so it may have even been sterile nanners. Only one way to find out, and its 3 weeks or so away.

I see,the BB i'm growin presently are sensitive as well and pulled a few nanners the other day, some strains just have to be monitored more closely, a few seeds isn't nothing, thx for that.
