Ok maybe its not THAT major, but I plan to double the size of the room. I need to re-think the type of system im going to use though. Heres my situation.

I am currently using a 4X4 space with a 600w, ebb flow system. The reservoir is 70gal and a pain in the royal butt to change and clean etc. The system does work nicely however.

Im going to extend the space to a 4X8 and add another 600w. The problem is I am using the space where i usually have to access the existing reservoir, and i will need to get 2 rez's going it seems.

I need to be able to leave the set up for days on end, so i cant worry about watering by hand everyday.

Questions:
shouild i rethink doing a ebb flow system?

What is the easiest system to operate as far as changing of water, low maintenance, and accesability in a small space!!??

thanks guys

no pics of your setup ?? I have seen some wicked aero setups but i am doing a ebbaflow my self for my flowering i have almost everything easle waterfarm, dwc, aero, and ebbaflow .......my ebbaflow was a bitch to change water untell i made my own mixer 5 gallon bucket with a hose on the bottom ....so i just mix my nutes in there hange the bucket on the ceiling and use the hose to fill my water takes about 2 mins to fill it ...........then on my ebbflow theres a drain system on the side with a tube tells me how much water i have then when i want to empty the res and change nutes i just bend the hose down to a bucket and fill it up.....i never have as much water when i empty as when i fill because the plants suck up most of it. well trying to help so ...like i was saying thrrow me some pics i like to see what i am trying to talk about

well man it looks like a nice ebbaflow system like i said its up to you how you want to grow every hydro has to have a water change and shit there all a bitch to change water ......its all depending on how well you can think of a way that makes it easy on you........my grow area was built before i really did any learning like a dumbass so i cant even get a 2 gallon bucket down the secret path 2 ft and into the small door then 3 ft to my ebba flow..... i finally thought of a method i got a 5 gallon bucket cut a hole on the bottom of it put a drain hooked the drain up to a 8ft hose at the end of the hose i have a on off nozle....sealed everthing water tight (thats being triky sprang a little leak last watering) then bam i have a water feeder ...... i got a hook and installed it in the cieling and got another painters hook for buckets at homedepot and installed it on my bucket ....now my bucket can hang from hooks on the ceiling right next to my grow room .......so after i mix up my nutes in my bucket i go hang the bucket from the hook crawl threw to my room then use the hose with the on off valve to fill up the tanks.....gravity does the work for you..... then for draining water you just drill a hole at the bottom of your res tank and hook up a drain valve with a on off switch to a hose put a bucket under the res tank and put the hose in the bucket turn the valve on and drain your res tank.... normaly your plants take up all the water so you should not have much....i would take pics but its lights out for the girls and the veg room so it will have to wait tell tomorrow morning....let me know if you under stand this im stoned and ready to pass out hahaha :bigjoint:

Ebb and flow is about as simple as it gets. If you want less maintenance switch out your res for a larger one and double the amount of water. You're still going to have to check every couple days at least.

There's the aquamist:
http://www.aquamist.com/aquamist1.htm

If you watch seemorebuds video's (google it) it seems to produce really well and they say it's pretty hands off and easy to clean. You can duplicate the system DIY too, people have posted the type of sprinklers or whatever they are using and others have made copies and posted them.

Really anything using a larger res is what you're looking for. It'll cost you more in nutes but that's the trade off.

With ebb and flow there is more of a safety margin on pump failure though, if you check them often enough to catch it in time.

hey to change the water just add another small pump in the res and hook up a hose to it, when you want to empty just plug the thing in and let it drain. when you want to add water put the pump in a bucket of water and send the water back to your res. Thats how i have always done it. no need to make more holes.

do u guys scrub the big rez's though? clean off all the build up? I got no problem hooking up a pump and draining, although there is always a little bit still left in the rez when i add new nutes. I just hate the scrubbing it clean part lol
