Please help.. just got my doctors recommendation

This is in California.

So I walk into this dispensary, they tell me to sign some shit.. on one page it says that
"i hereby designate --- as my primary caregiver."

Do all dispensaries require this in order to sell you weed?
The guy told me I had to sign that.. I didn't believe him.

I thought designating someone as your primary caregiver took more than just a signature on a non official looking piece of paper?

Also, if you designate someone as primary caregiver that means you cannot grow your own plants so I didn't sign

The law makes them do that. Unfortunately, the law is so fucked up that each dispensary has a different set of conditions as they are trying to stay as protected as possible under laws that don't protect them. Some of them let you initial some things and not others. Some have a one page agreement and some have 10+ pages. Just sign whatever and get your weed man. They're not trying to fuck you. I always just refuse to sign the 'I will only use this collective' clause since it's illegal for them to demand that. I've never been refused, ever. Plus, you can always withdraw your membership the next day.

Find another dispensary, if they ask you to sign something then it must be normal. If they don't then don't buy from the places that are trying to keep you from suing them
