I'm wondering 2 things
How short can a clone be?
I wanted to build a mini cloning box and it is 3 1/8" tall i was gonna put an ultrasonic low level water mister and an air stone.
Do you think this will work.
2.
How can I safely transfer clones from neoprene collar to hydroton?

I was thinking of first putting a rockwool cube with the slit on the side to add support.
But how do you surround the roots safely with hydroton?

Are you talking about those ultrasonic misters that make a fog out of the water? Kinda like those statues from spencers?
I was actually very curious if those would work for a dwc as well!
I dunno if it would work because they say don't touch the water with those misters in them, doesn't it heat up the water or somethin?
Or maybe those ultrasonic vibrations are whats harmful, might kill the roots. Not sure though, let me know if you try it out!!

check this link out to chekc out all the misters / foggers there is a low water one im just curious as to how low. pparently they work well, but often create a white film over your roots, but nothing to be worried about apparently. Some say that the mister doesnt really feed nutrients to the plants, but the manufacturer begs to differ. I plan on running this with an air. But my main concern is transplanting back to rcokwool and hydroton afterward.

i found out the min water lvl is 1.25 inches now all i nee to know is the min height for clones.
Are there extra thick neoprene collars that will allow me to have a longer clone stem.

After the clone get some roots, I put the clone cutting into a pH'd rockwool cube (i cut the cube in half to safely place the clone in) and then place that rockwool into the hydroton.

just the stem and use the RW for support, if your cuttings/clones are big enough, you can put them directly into the hydroton
