plants are indoors in soil and are about 1 foot tall

should i do anything to make the mothers more bushy?
like crop them?

I have read that "topping" your plants provides multiple head nugz of a greater size, instead of a single huge nug with smaller popcorn nugs at the base. I would recommend bending/topping the plants, as it saves room indoors and creates more "head" colas.
