Planning a Visit to Amsterdam

So next summer my girlfriend and I are planning a few day visit to Amsterdam and I was wondering if anyone is from/has visited Amsterdam and could point me in the direction of some quality coffee shops and maybe a few that aren't very touristy. Maybe if you know places we should avoid that would be good to know as well (i.e. shady shops, places with high crimes rates etc.). Anything will really help. I'm doing some research on the culture and stuff and just of getting ready for it. But as always, advice from helpful people is always welcome. I just want to be nice and toasty for my entire visit of Amsterdam.

there are a really lot, you can get like a tourist-guide-booklet-thingi for weed etc.

you should just tour all of em in amsterdam and see wich 1 you like the best / has the best bud.

if you didnt visit all of em wouldnt you feel like you missed something?

The author says you should stay away from the rasta clubs...they'll rip you off.
