Just place an order for DWC gear. Made decisions gleaned from creeping through thread after thread and keying on things I heard more than once. Here is a quick list.... feel free to make suggestions. I'm new to hydro... not new to gardening. Will be practicing my technique on a couple pepper and tomato plants before sprouting my beans.

Hydrofarm Coco Chips
Sweet Raw
ZHO powder
Aquashield
B-52
Cal/Mag
Flora Grow
Flora Bloom
Flora Micro
3" Net Pots
1.5" Rockwool cubes
pH up & pH down solutions
7.0 calibrating solution for pH meter
TDS meter w/ calibrating solution
Clonex rooting compound

I already own the lights. A 6x39w 36" T5-HO hood for flowering. A Hdrofarm FLT24 4x24w 24" hood for veg. A diaphragm 4 port professional Luft air pump. 4" squirrel cage fan. A whole stack of 2.5gal buckets I will sand and primer w/ flat black paint. A few space blankets to glue up inside the cab. Various pore sized airstones including wooden air diffusers for ultra fine bubbles. A box full of clip fans. Digital temp/humidity gauge with remote readout. I brew my own beer and base alcohol for distilling (don't judge me... yall are grown weed... why can't I make my own shine??) so I will most likely pipe my off gassed CO2 into my upper cab where I'll be doing my flowering.

Does it sound like I am off to a descent start equipment wise. I want to have everything I need well before I ever get started. Nothing irks me more than seeing people jump off into thing unprpared and then they panic and ask for help. My lifelong motto has always been "piss poor planing on your part down not constitute a emergency on mine".... I am not a piss poor planner.

I have also been organic gardening for about 10 years now. Have a compost pile the size of a Volkswagon. Most associated organic ferts like Blood/bone meals, cotton seed meals, rock dust, kelp meals, fish emulsions.... Been doing the compost tea thing for about 7 years now and think I have a general brew that seems to work wonders. Not sure how this is going to parlay into growing hydroponically but it can't hurt to already have a bit of a green thumb.

Lots of people use the GH stuff with Lucas formula with great results. Good luck man. I am still figuring this crap out too, but I am getting closer or higher... I just don't know which.

are you using the GH Flora Nova grow/bloom nutes?

I sort of figured having a wider variety of feeding options couldn't hurt. It is also in my inquisitive nature to tweek things here and there to see what best suites my current conditions. For my first couple grown, until a have a feel for how my preferred strain acts, I'll be sticking very close the Flora dosing guidelines. But I know eventually I'll start tinkering with things. Figured I'd just save myself a little extra shipping.

Right now I am trying to home in on a growing schedule that will A) keep me in green but B) definitely scream "personal use" if I ever have the misfortune of having to explain myself to the law. I have no interest in ever selling. My interest lies in me being able to manage my pain and the permanent effects of my injuries. I'd be lying my ass off if I said I didn't enjoy the feeling of being high. I love it. But I also love not being in pain serious enough to warrant a Oxycodone prescription. And my Dr prescribed dosage is well above habit forming/addiction thresholds.

I've settled on a 70" tall by 48" wide by 20" deep stealth grow cabinet. Looking into (and would love input on) effective odor control. Dryer vents into the garage so possibly a carbon filter in conjunction with a linen scented cover up. I am going to split the cabinet into two levels. One for veg and one for flower. Now what I am considering doing to keep my plant count to a minimum is doing an extended veg cycle and SCROGing and then taking a clone off that plant to establish another plant in the lower compartment while I flower the SCROGed plant in the upper. I know I am running a higher risk of losing plants and having to start over from seed. But I most definitely want to keep my plant count to a bare minimum. Any pointers on a better low volume perpetual grow??

Wyogrow: I wish there was an easier way, but from what you ask, I think you might be new to this so I’d suggest you RTFB and refer to the following:
1. Read: SeeMoreBud’s book, “MARIJUANA BUDS FOR LESS- GROW 8 OZ. OF BUDS FOR LESS THAN $100.”
2. Read: Jorge Cervantes’s book, “MARIJUANA HORTICULTURE THE INDOOR/OUTDOOR MEDICAL GROWER’S BIBLE.”
3. Read: Ed Rosenthal’s, “MARIJUANA GROWER’S HANDBOOK.”
4. You’ll also want to read: Mc Carthy’s book, “GROWING MARIJUANA.”
5. You should also subscribe to, “HIGH TIMES,” magazine. Each issue is chocked full of useful information. .” All these resources are very well written, well illustrated and packed with information that will answer most of your questions before you know to ask them. And I want to add a new book to the list, a 6[SUP]th[/SUP] one: “THE CANNABIS GROW BIBLE- SECOND EDITION,” written by Greg Green. It’s a match to, if not better than, the ones listed above. Doing your homework and consulting these resources will save you and your plants a lot of anxiety before you plant. These forums are great but often they can’t get the information you need to you in a timely fashion. I hope this helps. HSA

Thanks HSA. Yes, I am 100% new to growing marijuana. But I have read my ass off over the last 3 months gathering in as much info as I can.

Cabinet is built. Have some tweaking to do to get it up to snuff before I chuck plants into it. Don't like how hot it gets inside with a 6 bulb T5 fixture..... even with the 4" exhaust fan the temp in the cabinet is 92 degrees F. Not looking forward to seeing what adding a veg fixture in the lower compartment will do to the temp. Will definitely need to get this issue resolved. Putting the mylar up with spray adhesive was a nightmare... gave up on having a pretty, shinny and wrinkle free mylar covered inside. But its in there none the less..... just not as pretty as my anal retentive nature would prefer. Everything I have ordered has arrived. Have a few tomato clones going in a DWC system to get boned up on my hydro culture system of choice. Should be up and growing by the end of July to mid August.
