Pistils turning quickly at week 8 of flowering

This one plant, genetics unknown is at 8 weeks into flowing and over the past week I have noticed the pistils have gone from roughly 40% orange/brown to about 75%. Is it normal for such a sudden change like that? Just curious, I've never seen it happen so quickly, as up to this point is was much more gradual. Other plants I have experience with never went through a rapid change like that.

Tomorrow I'm going to check the trichomes and see how much they've changed this past week. I haven't checked them in 6 days, as they were mostly clear yet, with I'd say 30% cloudy and a few random amber.

they're sleeping right now. i'll put some up tomorrow along with some macros of the trichs.
well for comparison here are a few from a week ago. To me it looks like a mix of clear cloudy and a few amber trichs. Since these were taken the pistols have turned a lot more.

The trichomes on the calyx, not leaves, are the ones you judge by.
I'll get some when the lights go on. From what I can tell though they're about the same, I guess I'll find out. I've been a bit shy of putting my loupe so close to the calyx while trying to get clear pics because I keep smashing into the trichomes and need to use naptha to clean off the lens because it's so coated in oil.

I did snag a sample a last week, dried it and sampled a little before I put it in a cure jar. Got me ripped, but taste green as hell pbviously.

Just from the top pic it looks like it has some swelling to do yet. I get amber on leaves weeks before harvest.
I'll add some new better pics tomorrow. It seems the buds have all but stopped growing at this point. I'm only working with about 40 watts per square foot of CFL light so I'm not expecting that big and dense of buds. My next grow will be LED, pretty excited.

I had a hell of a time trying to get clear macros of the trichs today. My loupe is smothered in fresh resin so I gave up. I'm not seeing amber on the calyx's but they are about 70% cloudy. The pistils are 80-85% brown/orange and she getting more purple andthe leaves are starting to lose color. I think 5 to 10 days and I'm chopping her down. IMG_1883.JPG IMG_1863.JPG IMG_1887.PNG
