Pirate radio?

My friend and I are interested in starting our own radio station from scratch. What sort of equipment would be needed for this sort of project?

& where do you live what is your town becasue i know a town called keswick and they call it k-town.

Best bet would have to be internet radio as CueTrott said. Otherwise you will have to purchase a license (http://www.ehow.com/how_2385967_apply-radio-station-license.html) and pay extra costs to broadcast music (if that was your intention).

I used to be a DJ on the last forum i went on because there was a Radio just for the forum and max listeners i ever had was 43 the max ever was 60somthing then it maxed out

Check out free talk live and ask on their forums. I think the owner of free talk live runs a pirate radio station called LRN ( Liberty Radio Network ) up in Keene, NH.

it's not pirate radio if you get a license... there was somebody doing a couple years ago in my town for a month or so.
