hello guys,
i would like to share some picture of my new led fixture,
big thanks @robincnn from Northern Grow Lights for nice customer service and of course for products.

I used for my light.
-6pcs vero 29c/3000k/90cri
-6pcs sst 140
-6pcs khatod lens with metal holder
-alu profile
-1-10 volt dimmer
-hlg-240c-1050b

i did build 2 bars, nothing really special at this build, was easy to build and has clean look.
I did hide all wires in the aluminum profile and used again remote driver on this light.
the combo of sst 140 with vero29 and khatod lens is really mega easy to install, just nice.
And thanks robin for the vero29 tim template, worked really well for me...

Nice. I'm going to build a very similar light (Vero 29C 3000K/90CRI + Khatod lens). I understand you're from Germany, right? Did you get everything from @robincnn or locally?

I am building my first DIY COB ( you may have seen my thread "Is it possible to build a good COB LED light for a grow tent 3x3x5 for under $200.00?) Well the answer was no but I am doing it for less than $325.00. MEAN WELL HLG-185H-C1400B 1400mA $54.00 x 2 = $108.00 Mouser, ARCTIC Alpine 64 GT Rev. 2 8x$8.00= $64.00 Amazon, CLU048-1212C4-353H6K2 $10.30 x 8= $82.10 EBay.

My question is this: where can I mount a thermal switch on the alpine 64 heat sink to protect the cob from fan failure? Milling out the fins to mount it behind the lamp seems counter productive. will it be accurate enough to mount it on the face near the cob? Members with practical experience have probably done this before and can save me a lot of time with your knowledge.

Thanks,

Ok I have lots of room on the sides. I just did not know if the heat transfer would be fast enough to trip the thermal switch before the cob got too hot in a fan failure.
