all those tank pics make me miss my cichlid setup

Yeah, nothing like staring mindlessly into your tank only to realize suddenly that you don't recognize the fish you've been watching.all those tank pics make me miss my cichlid setup

I've always like centerpiece fish - hence the Mayan Cichlid.

I had one that kinda looked like a pike..long and skinny probably around 6" long he'd hide in this piece of driftwood I had sunk in there. cool as shit. I'd feed him guppies.
the guy @ the fish store said he wouldn't live cuz he was s american I think and the others I had were african different ph needs I think...but he acclimated and lived for bout 4 years until I moved and lost most of my fish....sucked

pretty cool clint. all my cichlids were very aggressive. I had probably 50lbs of slate stacked in the tank giving them plenty of holes to hide in and get away from the more aggressive fish.
All Cichlids are aggressive as shit.
Some just more-so.

I always loved it when i'd throw a dozen guppies in feeding frenzy.

the,chichlid i was telling you about looked very similar to that flowerhorn, he was a pale peach colour and the bump wasn't as big though.. They all look wicked
your tank looks cool man, i like simple set ups aswell, in my big tank i plan to have a few different fish but down the track want to get a smaller tank and have a centerpiece fish aswell

I never stand a chance with my Phoebe. I am her slave, to be used as needed. Test results are back though, her sister is the carrier, and she has sucummed, incurable virus, I forget the name. 1 year old and she's going to have to have most all her teeth out :'( poor peebs
