Not for nothing, but this is in the wrong sub. Where are the mods on the board anymore?
LED vs HPS is a fairly important part of growroom design, so I think it's in the right sub... or perhaps it was already moved in which case. D'oh.

I'll be among those looking to see what sort of final yield / effect differences there are.

I am probably going to step the HPS up to a 600 after this week I think. Which is what the led is supposed to be able to compete with but I haven't decided for sure yet.

Any opinions?

Update. Top nugs looking way danker on the led side, lot more production on the hps side. Popcorn nugs on the bottom of the led, but filling out all the way down under the hps.

I would predict your final product would be close to what a 600-1000 watt HPS would usually deliver. Should easily out perform that 400.

Almost all LED is made in China but there is cheap china and decent china lol. Generally you get what you pay for.

I missed where you said you had switched it for a 600.
Ya the 400 was losing and made me nervous about how much I find give up by not using the 600.

The colas under the led are already foxtailing and look way more resinous than the hps. The hps just has a lot more buds growing, and they're filling out to the ground whereas the led are all weight up top

The led side is the one with the more spread out but bigger colas. I'm kind of thinking the led would only outperform hps in yield is in sog or scrog type grow methods, even canopy and such. But if you're like me and like bigger plants, they're not quite as good on penetration.
