Yeah, cant afford it.

Hence my effort into making sure this goes well.
I dunno if you have already chosen lighting, but despite the expense, when you can afford it, get COBs. Lighting is probably most important factor after strain selection. They'll keep your yield high and power consumption and heat low. Check this out for 241w of light:

I recently replaced my Mars II 9000 with a custom 400w vero90 cob kit.

I frankly don't know what to make of that chart personally. All I know is I have a grow, few plants w brown spots, one plant w major yellowing, super super spotty. See my thread in Plant problems. Getting damn tired of not seeing these things just grow.

basicly that the soil PH should be between 6 and 7 so the plant can pick up the stuff it needs.

Are you saying feeding soil or runoff? I ask because I've heard "do not adjust ph on soil because it buffers".

Soil.

If the Soil PH is 5 you can have as much calcium in the soil as you like. the plant cannot access it.So it contributes to salt build up (all nutes are salt)

I aint the one to ask all this stuff..i dont PH remember.

I've only taken my soil runoff ph once and it was ph 6.3ish. This was the first time I ph'ed down my water (because I'd finally leanrt that its normally 8 ) It's tough to know moving forward if I should ph down or up. My EJ blend PH is 3.5-4 and their website claims you do not need to adjust ph. Yet. My plants are clearly suffering.

And thats why everyone's problems are different. Peoples water PH and PPM are all different and some people have clorine and stuff to.

I mix my own soil and collect rainwater. So what i do will be different to you. The variables are not the same.

Until a few days ago I was watering with my tapwater recently tested at ph 8. Last watering a few days ago was watered down to ph 6.

well id try to get ur soil PH to around 6.5. At least then you know its picking up everything.

I dont need to worry as i know what my water PH is. I just dampen my soil and stick my PH probe in and it reads anywhere between 6.5 and 7, i dont check it again until next grow. Im even in last years outside grows soil.

I cannot really answer all ur PH questions cause i dont worry about it. I set and forget. (Dolomite Lime helps here- as I stated in ur other thread)
