Welp.....
Was told I was gonna get a tracking number for my sunboard, but never got it....,
But,
I DID get my sunboard today!!!
This light looks nice
Well packaged
Hope it works as well as the packing!!!
Now just waiting on the driver.....
With this setup I’ll be getting 25 watt per square foot.
Is this enough for blooming???
Should I go bigger???
30 to 35 watts a sq/Ft would be better for flowering.

@BuddyColas
Thanks!!!
I have the 60 watt driver on order but hasn’t arrived yet.
I do have a 80 watt driver, 2.4 amp
If I use this 80 water it will put me at 31 watts psf.
Would this driver work???
Need a heat sink???
( luckyily I’ve got a couple heatsinks laying around from previous cob builds)

31 w sq/ft would be productive. Somewhere in the vicinity of 780 umols. What is the model of the driver?

The choice (at this time) are:

Meanwell Lpc 60-1750
Or
A 80 watt 2.4 ma eBay led driver

Edit:
Option #3
I also have a mean well 200 watt dimmable driver
Option#4
Order a 100watt dimmable driver
And dim either option 3 or 4 ????

Boy Howdy
So many options
Watching the sun come up
Listening to the early birds chirp
Monitoring the brisket on the pit
And Smelling of a fat burning bud.......
Can get ones mind a thinking....

Got the old leds out and the sunboard in.
I decided to go with 60 watt driver as recommended by the manufacturer.
Depending on how this grows will tell if I go with a 80 watt driver next grow
Fingers crossed

To be honest.....
I’ve had s hard time wrapping my head around the “less wattage is better for led” mantra.
I just swapped out 210 watts of leds to just this 60 watt sunboard and I gotta say sofa I’m kinda impressed.
This 60 watts is outperforming the 210 watts (at this stage) by leaps and bounds.
Allready has bud set, so now waiting to see how this sunboard flowers....
@InTheValley
I’m thinking about placing a order for a fusion board myself, just to have it ( they always seem to be out of stock) for my upgrade to a 35 gallon notill led armoire that’s in the works.

That’s good, I received my drivers but was sent non dimming so i now have 2 single sunboards one with 87w and one with 82w. Just not sure how they will get on at the higher amperage heat wise

Great looking grow, nice sunboard. She definitely is a Lil monster! 60 watts is killing it right now!

I made a strip Light and I swear I feel like I ripped off the sun board lol. 240 diodes a panel. I saw the sunboard a couple weeks later and was like damn looks like my light20170702_122933.jpg this one runs at around 160 Max watts. I run it soft
it vegs really nice

I’ve been cab growing foe ever.
I have a solid strategy steps to take to prevent out growing my cab.
I have not out grown my cab in what seems like years.
Change one little thing ( install sunboard) and all stratagies fly out the window.
Over Grown like a mother.....
But dealing with it.

she looks fantastic bro.

should have my Fusion board Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday, or..................................................

I have 4 seedlings at 6 days old now waiting for the Fusion board test. I go 12/12 from seed usually, but in this case, Im not flipping till the board is here. I want 8 more,lol..

I currently run 4 luminus Cobs, and want to put these at an angle, 2 each side around my current rig. So the Fusions will be more of a sidelighting, and run the whole set-up at 500 total watts. 35 per Fusion, (280w) 55w per Cob, (220w)

this is for a 3.5x3.5 area,

awesome grow thus far man, cant wait to see the GPW,lol

Your plans sound good.
With the fusion boards your total wattage is spot on.
Are you planning on mounting the angled fusion boards closer to the luminus or closer to the walls??

I’m with you.
Looking forward to seeing what the final gpw ends up being. I’ll be more than sated if it’s close to the 250 watts output wich was 3.5 oz.

Wish I could take credit for this grow but the sunboard and notill are doing all the work!!!
