Photon Fantom PCBs

Haha... care to elaborate?.
I had initially heard that about him as well. Can't remember - a thread here probably.

I purchased half a dozen boards from him a few months back and I didn't have the same experience. The guy was nice, got back to me fairly quickly, answered a couple driver questions I had, and even threw in a bunch of Wagos with my order. I'll be ordering more boards from him in the next month or two.

@The Grand Blunt Wizard

If you’ve been following you know my cramped bloom space.
Woke up with a thought.
In this small space would you use the a waVy board or the all white fantom??
The way I grow I’ll have approx 7 in inches from top of bud to light
Thoughts??

Nice thread! On my hunt for good led I stumbled over the PFD boards. Unfortunatly I get no reply to my inquiries from @the Grant Blunt Wizard .
But as he said, he's pretty busy atm so it doesn't matter so much.

Perhaps you guys meanwhile can help me, please?

1. One urgent question - does he ship to Europe? If not why?
Would like to order some dozens of his boards to diy some fixtures with a little help of some friends (sorry, I for myself don't have any clue of this technical theme) after a test run with maybe two fixtures with PFD boards.

2. I've to cover some metres of connected tables, all 1m deep. What would be the most efficient setup( 6 or 8 boards?) which can compare with a 1000w HPS for what area (intend to cover areas of 1,00m x 1,00-1,50m?

3. I need the fixtures mostly for flowering and just two weeks of prior vegging to the rockwool. Which boards (sunboard, wavy, fusion, mixed) would you use with what K?

4. Is it generally possible to regulate the spectrum of these boards? If so, I'm looking also for controlling software which could handle that (dawn/dusk, controlling bandlenghts, maybe also humidity, temp, VDP), any advices?

5. Does PFD intend to relase some UV boards/spots?I've good experiences with Reptilux 10.0 fluorescent lamps but would like to to change them to led integrated in the fixture if possible.

Appreciate your efforts in advance![/USER]

He does not ship to europe nor does he respond any DM here or IG for it. Id say forget about it and check out the "boards in europe" thread here in the led section, very similar to his sunboards, also wont need heatsink for lower wattage or for high watts add a computer fan on top of it.

Thanks, but sorry to hear that. Does anyone know why he doesn't ship overseas? Will that change? In case of need I could let it deliver to an US adressee. But would be the worst case. Yep, you can get QB in Europe at a few places but I would prefer to get his boards.

You can use a reshipping service to have your packages sent to an address outside the USA.

I like www.shipito.com

You pay twice for delivery but thats just the way it goes.

Yep, that was my idea too. But it's a really unnecassary hassle. But thanks for you advice!

Does anybody know seizes and weight of a packed board? Guess there is a small package for each bord before packed in the package for shipment?

The boards are around 300-350 grams each approximately.

They are about the size of an A4 piece of paper. They come wrapped in bubble wrap.

Thank you very much Sir! And what's around the height of one packed board?
I try to calculate shipment costs therefore I need to know number, weight and sizes of needed packages

Thanks Croc! Very thin indeed. And bubbles are around 1"?
Any link to the European boards?
I sent him 2 emails within the last week and will wait the next times. Don't want to bother him. Perhaps then I try it again via his gmail account as he has recommended some days ago. But thanks for you advice!

I found communication a wee bit light but decided to purchase anyway. he's a one man band, I can understand he can't hold everyone's hands. He did take the time to respond once, just not again after that... for whatever that's worth. It's fine with me, like I said he's pretty busy. I was able to move forward with decision making based on what he said anyway and got some to try out. This is diy electronics after all, I don't really expect a ton of hands on customer service.

It's getting more and more out of his shop. Currently there are only some sunboards. Does anybody know state of (future) availability of the items? Is he changing his product line and new developed boards are coming or are all other items just out of stock?

Sunboard s going out today.
Should be here next week.
That’ll work for I’ve got some new plants vegging for a week in the bloom cab.
When the sunboard gets here I’ll do a quick install and then flip to 11/13

Welp.....
Was told I was gonna get a tracking number for my sunboard, but never got it....,
But,
I DID get my sunboard today!!!
This light looks nice
Well packaged
Hope it works as well as the packing!!!
Now just waiting on the driver.....
With this setup I’ll be getting 25 watt per square foot.
Is this enough for blooming???
Should I go bigger???
