But cheap, buy twice.
Anything blue lab I've owned is still running strong after years of use. I wouldn't use anything else now. Vs my cheaper brands - BlueLab holds its calibration. My cheaper brands flux after a few weeks

Anyone else have problems with certain pH probes being too dry, not aloud to be in nutrient solution 24/7 or certain probes having to be in a certain solution when not in use?

Hey what's up, I have the ml ph 200 digital it was broken right out of the box. So I ordered a replacement sensor it seems to work ok but I've got my doubts, and it may be what went wrong in my current grow totally fucked up everything. I think I hate this meter now after posting this.

Try and return it, get yourself a hanna or a bluelab.

I actually got about 10 pH meters lying around. The last one i had (which was the most expensive) screwed up and i didnt realize till about 2 months later. It kept showing a higher pH reading so everyday i'd add pH down. I realized things weren't right when one day i kept adding pH down and it just wouldn't go down (according to this pH meter) so i decided to use some of the el-cheapos i had. Luckily i caught it in time before the 12/12 cycle, now i'm using 2 of the cheap ones taped together for redundancy. :D

Did you re-calibrate your old expensive one?

I just went to my local Hydroponic store as asked their advice and I couldn't be any happier. Got the PH-80 digital test meter and a simple PPM meter

BLUE LAB COMBO METER. It's going to cost you but it does it all and it comes with a 5 year warranty. I had a problem and they took it back after 2.5 years no questions asked. One of my better moves never buying one of the cheap ones first.

Of course I tried to recalibrate, ended being stuck on around 6.2 wouldn't move much below or after. I have blue labs too. In my opinion, they're all pretty much the same thing lol.
Although I think the blue labs one, on the manual its supposed to be submerged in some aspirin when not in use

I haven't heard that before. I just clean my hanna off with the cleaning solution they gave me and store it. Once a week I will re-calibrate my meter. IMO they are basically the same thing once you are purchasing a meter $100 +. My cheaper meters seemed to break to quickly.
