Ph level problem

:?: I use an Aerogarden Pro 100. I have an additional 40 watt CFC, 5000k grow light on the side. I believe the Aerogarden Pro lights are 6500k.

I'm on my second grow. I made the mistake on my first grow of using too much nutrients and killed my plants

I'm growing Lowryder AK47 feminized. I'm into my third week and my three plants are doing great. I waited two weeks before I added any nutrients. . I use Fox Farms Grow Big at 25% and will use Tiger Bloom when they start flowering. I’ve used Ph down to control the Ph level at 6.0 – 6.1, but it keeps going up to 7.0. The plants don’t seem to be affected negatively so I’m not sure what I can do to lower the Ph level. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate any help.

Are you filling your res with tap water? there may be too much dissolved solids (calcium, specifically) which would tend to buffer things toward the alkaline side. If you start with RO or distilled water, you might have better control.

adding water when needed causes it to rise, best to change all the water properly ph it to 5.8-6.3 and make sure you have a secondary air stone in the res. and check the res. ph b4 lites on lites off.

I neglected to say I have 3 1" airstones. I use distilled water. Maybe I'll try flushing the reservoir and putting in new low ph water and nutes.

Thanks
